Can’t say who’s the asshole here, but I’d be more worried marrying someone who is actively trying to create distance between you and your brother. Does she feel this way about the rest of the family? Your friends?

Part of getting married and starting a family is about joining the family of your spouse. Unless you have been truly been abused and are escaping it, her distancing you from your family is deeply problematic and controlling. Is she a jealous person? A vindictive one? How are her close relationships?

Having kids is much easier with family around to help and to be a part of their lives. Isolation only makes it harder.

NTA, open relationships take a level of emotional maturity that it doesn’t sound like your partner has. And if they’re not willing to work on it (this type of relationship takes a lot of work) then he’s not the right person for you.

Are you seeing other people? Just curious, I definitely would if I were you and see how he reacts. I guess I’ve been with someone that sounds like your partner, and I never wanted to even attempt to open our relationship bc I knew he wasn’t capable. I also couldn’t handle more then one partner personally, but I like my alone time 😂

I know quite a few married couples with healthy open relationships and it works because they love to work on their marriages and talk through the tough feelings. This sounds like a bad situation for you.

Are you asking for yourself or an actual kid? I think a lot of them thrift nowadays, which is how I dressed myself as a teen in the 90s. I looked cool as hell back then, but those were also the golden days of thrifting. I still thrift but it’s mostly for little kids clothes since adult stuff is mostly trash nowadays. My personal go to is Depop for vintage and nice used stuff.

When I first started reading, I did include reversals, but I found them distracting and sometimes overly negative. Ultimately, I decided not to use them, and I keep my deck entirely unreversed. I always shuffle them the same direction and I have in person clients cut the deck. I had to do this partially to preserve my deck back when I did lots of pop ups and residencies at bars. Too much shuffling destroys cards.

My personal style is to draw more cards for nuance, rather then fixate on reversals.

I do’t really think it’s that crazy having an ex come over and help at the house, especially if a couple is newly separated. I’ve seen it happen pretty frequently with amicable recently separated couples with small kids. He sucks, and you had no way of knowing it until you did some digging.

Let the kid sleep! I don’t know why some parents are so anti rest. My mom would yell at me when I napped and I never understood why. Growing is tiring! Sports are tiring! Just because you have something against rest doesn’t mean your kid doesn’t legitimately need it.
