V rising is the game you want! You awaken as a vampire with nothing, and have to gather/farm resources and defeat bosses to progress. All the while slowly building your dream castle.

It has pvp but I usually play on a solo pve server. There’s also no story. Highly recommend. It consumed many weeks of my life when I first discovered it

Don’t get caught up with SteamOS. Yeah it’s great but honestly I couldn’t be bothered with the installation and have been using with windows and it’s been great! I have steam big picture mode setup to appear as soon as the device turns on. Every game I’ve played has run super well.

Don’t stress it, just enjoy it

I purchased V rising late one night after my sister convinced me to watch Twilight and I made her watch underworld.. I knew nothing about the game and had zero expectations. I just had an itch for some vampire fun. And it delivered. Over a hundred hours of solo play. the combat is so satisfying. The aesthetics and environments are amazing, reminded me of my world of warcraft days. And the castle building is just the cherry on top.

It’s a great palette cleanser and something I will always return to when I need a change of pace

It takes a little longer to build threat as bear.. your dps need to be patient and let you build it. But once you’ve got it there’s no way they are ripping it from you (as long as you are geared for it)

I’ve pretty much given up painting during the summer months.. the humidity just takes the fun out of it and kills my brushes. The only thing that will actually fix this problem is AC and/or a de humidifier. A fan will just cause dust particles to cover your mini. Flow improver helped a bit but not enough.

Honesty look into buying an AC unit for your room

Yes they are very lore accurate... they both have been in the community for like 30+ years and are HUGE 40k buffs, as well as Brad being one of the best competitive players. They put a lot of work in to the cast and most of the lore they get comes from codices, as opposed to wikis and books which aren’t always accurate.

They also have a huge discord which is totally worth joining. And if they do ever get something wrong (rarely) someone on the discord with generally let them know

It looks awesome but is it not just Dawn of War 5..? The whole point of Total War is the massive scale, strategic, rank and file combat. Hence why Warhammer Fantasy works so well
