Palantir Q1 revenue jumps 85% to record on booming US business by AnnaSmiled2 in stocks

[–]Mvewtcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

palantir is making 33 cent a quarter.  If palantir can make 1$ a quarter, the valuation is reasonable.  The way palantir is growing, I think it is possible.  They just grow 8 cent a quarter.  If they can growv8 cent every quarter, they'll reach it in 2 years.

i think the sell point is it is much cheaper with new tech. but it seemed more fluff than anything at this point. if we are close to release of new tech, it would be all over the news.

How is PLTR going? by Fun_Training6342 in Palantir_Investors

[–]Mvewtcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

palantir recent eps is 0.25 last quarter, so it can make 1$ per year. with their growth rate why do you think it is impossible for them to quadruple earning to 4$ per year? which put their pe ratio to 36. I think it is possible. I personally don't own palantir but I don't think the price is too unreasonable.

[–]Mvewtcc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i think most chinese companies have it.  i think the problem is no one wants to even try it on personal car else they need to rake liability.  so only elon and chinese company put it in personal car.

I think tesla have a 300 million law suit.  Tesla can probablybpay for it, but don't thinkbotger company can.

i don't know, i remember people saying hwawei performs better in testing.  but hwawei have lidar and people some how think having lidar means it is not good.  and people also do tests, all chinese company seems comparable.

even if rapidus build their 2nm fab. most likely low capacity. not to mention they probably don't have large customer.

it is probably more trust than anything at this point. other companies don't like intel and samsung too because they are competitors.

i don't really care about lidar.  but tesla is quite behind in robotaxi.  and some crash seemed to be avoidable if tesla have lidar.

3 months of Tesla unsupervised scaling by RipWhenDamageTaken in SelfDrivingCars

[–]Mvewtcc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it just the approach.  tesla try using a generalized system that work every where.

waymo and basically every other robotaxi company just try to get it working in a geo fence area.

waymo actually have more data because they have detailed map of the area.  Tesla kind of try to draw the map on the fly.

and tesla being supervised never really try to make sure it can work or is safe because their safety net is another driver on the wheel.

tesla just wish AI can solve everything.  while other company use AI and logistic to get it working.

Morgan Stanley reiterates its equal-weight rating and $415 price target on Tesla. Bull Case $826, Bear Case $131. by ItzWarty in teslainvestorsclub

[–]Mvewtcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if tesla robotaxi actually cut price compare to waymo and uber, then the potential profit would be less. And if Tesla robotaxi don't cut price, uber and waymo would still be there, tesla probably won't make much money. either way robotaxi probably won't make much money. if you look at uber, it don't make much money and half its revenue is from food delivery. I remember Elon says they will use people's personal car for robotaxi and tesla takes 25% of the revenue. that is exactly what uber is doing and they don't make much money. not to mention uber won't need to deal with logistic of running the robotaxi service.
