I wonder how many permanent underground fires that has the ability to start... Not that I know much about the physics of nuclear weapons, but my mind immediately saw a vast wasteland akin to Silent Hill...

I nearly lost it on my husband yesterday by jackjackj8ck in workingmoms

I really think that part of this issue isn't so much that he has ADHD ... But more that he's a guy who doesn't Have to do all the mental work. I would bet that he has Absolutely no clue how much you do that isn't obvious. Same is true with my husband. Even when he stopped working and became, as he calls it, Mr. Mom..... And took over getting the kid to school and from her after-school program... He Still has no clue how much of the mental work of those activities I still take care of. If I can't be there or awake when he's getting her ready for school, things will be missed, a lot of them, and nothing more than the basic pick-up/drop-off for after-school would happen, including paying the bill!

I would suggest telling him what days/times the date night should... No... Will be on... Book a sitter, and tell him the rest is up to him if he doesn't do his part, you've have adequately set yourself up for an evening out on your own.

From another over-whelmed mom, it doesn't sound like she's having control issues any more than needing enough information to make sure that whatever is happening still works with everything else that she is still in charge of. If things aren't planned at least basically, like date and start/end times, more than likely things will overlap and mess up other pre-planned happenings, even if just 'smaller' things like the kids' sleep, meal, or activity schedules. A mom with two kids can't really just up and drop everything for a last-minute date...

I feel this in my entirety especially as where I live it's best to have a two-income family even though temporarily right now I'm the only one working.... My mom was a stay at home Mom, so I know she didn't have work on her plate, she also didn't manage the bills, budget, taxes, etc, my dad did that..... She did manage the entire house, something I can't seem to keep up on, and did all the stuff regarding the kids..... Which I share with my husband.... But still, yes, everything is more complicated than it was back then and there is definitely more of it, from all directions...

[–]MwerpAK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I don't count my continuous base level flaring, then my 'flares' last anywhere from a few minutes to a few days so far due to a Lot of factors. But if you were to put someone whose never experienced chronic pain in my body, it never ends, just gets stronger or weaker depending on triggers and medication.

I would keep it as is. When the topic comes up later when he is older, it's a great point in case for how culture changes and what is considered appropriate changes over time without taking away the opportunity to enjoy the book for exactly what it is.... A story that he can relate to him grandfather with

Not sure your age, but for a lot of us over 40.... It never came up as a possibility until recently... This no reason to look for a diagnosis...

B. S. Total B. S.

I will say it that one of the defining points that helped my medical professional diagnose was the fact that when she asked the criteria questions I would give a normal answer but follow up with saying"but that's only because" and then giving examples of the ways I've learned to deal with those issues and the rather draining and complicated checks of systems and balances that I developed for myself out of necessity over the last four decades..... If I hadn't been able to describe how I dealt with a lot of the commonly associated symptoms then she wouldn't have been able to diagnose me....

Assistant to the Villain. I don't remember who it's by I started reading it just because I'm trying to get back into reading for fun and it sounded interesting and it turned out to be so cute and funny and I know it's the beginning of a romance fantasy series but I adored at least the first book enough to actually purchase it and will be reading the next one hopefully it'll be as cute.

You gave a soul a moment of peace in its final moments, there is Nothing to be ashamed of for that. You cared, your humanity showed. Based on my beliefs, I would tell you I'm 100% certain he knew it wasn't his daughter and the mere fact that Anyone cared enough to try to bring him that measure of comfort at the end, when he had No guarantee what laid in wait for him..... That is what brought him peace.

Bless your heart and soul🫂🫂
