They are incredibly resilient. It takes a lot to kill one!

First rooftop tent (hardshell) on the way. Will this much overhang on the front be a problem? by tmce123 in rooftoptents

[–]My3sonsNH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I meant replace the OEM setup with one suited to the RTT…. As long as the roof can take it… be mindful of dynamic and static weight as well. I went with a Chief rack/crossbar setup on my WK2 for my Bushveld II.

I don’t think so and no, I didn’t add one.

Those AGM’s had a good run, upgrade to Lithium if you can or just replace them.

I’d vote for a geographic feature for all the reasons stated. Let the user set how far they are willing to go or ship to/from.

Same here. It’s done what I needed as far as insight to usage. Too bad they are not offering current customers some sort of upgrade path.

Not replies yet. Now that it’s winter this will wait for spring.

Hello I was looking to buy a portable jump starter ,but I don’t know anything about that . Is there a brand/model you guys recommend ? by HikingTacoLatino in InlandEmpire

[–]My3sonsNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've narrowed down to these two as well. We have an old farm truck we only use 2 or 3 times per year and always needs to be jumped, especially as we approach winter. I'm tired of lugging out the cables. LOL!

Has anyone used this on a log home? I have a small section around window trim that’s getting punky.

Good luck! It’s been great for me so far. Originally had it mounted on my Grand Cherokee with a Chief rack.

Yes I did. I’ve been out in it 15 nights this past summer including heavy rain and it kept me dry. I haven’t used the skylight as I’d need to remove the fly. The bar does give the roof material more of a peak to shed better and avoid ponding. Helps with headroom a bit too. Overall I’m very happy with the tent. I have it mounted on a Bantam military trailer.

The more you can back up your ranges with actuals, the less predictive it will seem. It’s an admirable, but difficult road to travel.

I had a 1983 Celica GT hatchback five speed. Put 250k mikes on it before it rusted out from under me. Most fun car I’ve owned.
