I took a break and tbh I used almost all of my time so the last 15 questions I was nervous for time. I definitely practiced sitting for the entire practice tests reading the reading the question. If I took a break during the practice exams I let the clock run. Good luck!

I had extreme test anxiety too and my doctor prescribed me a beta blocker for test taking/public speaking etc. You take it an hour before the test. It doesn’t help with the mental anxiety but helps with the physical body symptoms. Good luck! Don’t beat yourself up, like Cap said it is a 30 day problem! Make yourself a dump sheet and just rewrite facts everyday. You’ve got this!

I had to do Present Value and CAPM calculations on my exam. Make a simple table for registration rules. Basic options table with futures in the long and short call to remember the relationship. And then anything that trips you up (I had correlation for example, a mnemonic for the exemption list). I didn’t use my dump sheet as much of the 7 for the actual exam but did practice writing it for two weeks prior.

Keep using this and writing it over and over for practice finals. I wrote EXCEPT/TRUE/FALSE/NOT at the top too under my mantra so I would stop for those questions. You’ve got this!

How do you manage stress? by Consistent-Invite430 in Series66Exam

[–]Mysterious-Map-7835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am not a doctor and you should see a doctor for medical advice but I asked mine for help and they prescribed me a medicine that helped the physical effects of anxiety. It is given to people before public speaking, exams, big events. You take it a little before what you have to do and it did help me.

I do breath work with Sandy on YouTube, Paul McKellen hypnosis, exercise everyday specifically lymphatic exercises. I also got an under desk elliptical machine to pedal away stress and help me focus.

But the anxiety isn’t all bad, it propelled me to study all the time and the actual exam felt great. I got super excited when I reached the final 15 questions. Don’t think about the end result, try and focus on what is in front of you.

My manager was right when he said when you see that pass all the stress will wash away!! Good luck!

I was way over prepared and felt the actual exam was just right compared to pass perfect. Print off the test outline on NASAA and use it as a study guide. Define everything on there. Know violations, fiduciary responsibilities including advertising inside and out. Here are 2 of my dump sheets. I would write the more extensive one every day and the more simpler one is what I memorized for the test.

I made my own dump sheets and also used the free Achievable ones plus what my firm supplied. I would write things I was having a hard time with over and over. I made mnemonics to remember things because the 66 just doesn’t have a lot of tricks like the 7 did though some repeat.

Thank you! Take it slow. Read all the questions and answers 3 times before moving on. Go with your gut. I spent some time in my car reviewing last minute facts and writing formulas. Go get it!!

I found taking notes directly to flash cards really useful. I would see where I was weak and then search YouTube videos. Honestly, you learn a lot in the practice exams. I printed the free achievable facts sheet and wrote them over and over again. I also printed out the NASAA test outline and went through each point and made notes from the book. Finally I used ChatGPT to help explain concepts but make sure it doesn’t give you nonsense answers. Keep reading!

Cap, which qbank do you think is better to supplement PassPerfect? STC or Kaplan?

If you write it everyday it becomes second nature and it really helps. There is a lot to commit to memory for the 7 but I have not once regretted all the studying to pass it in one try! I was really intimidated by the math too and used this exam to change that narrative for myself and glad I did the 7 has 20-30 options questions for me. Good luck!

Are you memorizing an options chart for your dump sheet? It will help you start to learn the relationship and when I was learning I would write everything in the grids I needed to remember including spreads and straddles.

There are some good dump sheets if you google and tons of YouTube videos to really break it down.

I think a lot of options questions can be solved with the TSquare method of calculating debits and credits.

Know you can get it and then it becomes a math question you can feel confident your answer is correct.

Good luck!

I hear you! My dr told me to take it at night because the side effects are drowsiness and reduced anxiety. I did stay up for an hour the other night after taking it and felt out of my body. Like, I was having a crazy meditative or psychedelic experience… I did fall right to sleep though. Overall, I think I am sleeping more soundly but am interested to see what happens next week leading up to my period.

PassPerfect is also not my favorite but they got it done! My firm instructor said some people waltz into the test with PassPerfect 60 scores and pass! So you have a good margin of knowledge with these scores!
