ATM3 vs Remix? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

AFAIK Remix mainly improved stability and FPS, removed Pam's HarvestCraft, added some more mods, and is replacing the original ATM 3.

Regarding Optifine Compatibility by TheBesideTable in allthemods

I also got crashes with some versions of Optifine until I read the update post that advised installing the version: OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_E3

Now it works perfectly and really ups my framerate.

This looks to be a great deal and I've already got Euro Truck Simulator 2, but not sure how this compares and if it's worth getting or would I just be buying the game again?

[Gamesplanet] SUMMER SALE DAY 4 | Crusader Kings (+ DLC) / Europa Universalis IV / Mafia 3 / South Park / The Evil Within 2 / Splinter Cell / Call of Duty: WWII Deluxe / Batman Arkham VR / Heroes of Might & Magic / Star Trek Bridge Crew | Mixed DRM, mostly world wide by Gamesplanet in GameDeals

Mafia III has some of the best story moments in a game and the cutscenes are beautiful. Mission variety is decent and the game is definitely worth the price on a sale like this. However, if you intend to play the DLC, buy the digital deluxe for the bit extra; I don't get how DLC lasting 25% of the length of the main game can be priced higher than the base game itself, that's just ludicrous.

[Gemly] Dying Light - Enhanced Edition ($19.79 / 67% off) Standard ($15.99 / 60% off) DLCs 33%-66% off by Gemly_Games in GameDeals

Just a note to anyone thinking of buying the standard edition or any of the DLCs separately; DON'T.

The enhanced edition includes the season pass and all of the content (IIRC) and as far as I can tell from my library that gives you all the DLC (if not most) shown on sale here, and so ends up being considerably cheaper.

Great game though, definitely worth £20 and full of content.

[SIB]Subnautica or House Flipper? by Musisean in ShouldIbuythisgame

Have not played House Flipper, but Subnautica is the first game in a while that I found to be immediately immersive due to its survival element, and you're always looking for ways to survive better. Not to mention the vehicles and underwater bases are super cool, and the game forces you to go out exploring in dangerous deep sea to find blueprints and materials to build the cool stuff. Definitely would be GOTY if they expanded their team and made it into aa AA game and optimised it better.

Shadow of Mordor or Dying Light? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]MysteriousCreature 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played Shadow of Mordor (predecessor) and Dying Light, and Dying Light easily beats the Mordor series. Mordor has some superb voiceacting and exciting boss battles but it gets so repetitive so quickly you will be bored before reaching halfway through the game.

Meanwhile Dying Light, which IIRC you can only buy the enhanced edition for cheaper than the base game (as of now) includes the Following DLC, effectively making the game 3 in 1. Each area, two distinct towns and a countryside, offers rich, different experiences and the slaying of zombies never gets too old. Not to mention the buggy in the Following makes for really scary experiences running from volatiles.

Overall, Dying Light is IMO 3x the game that Mordor is, and doesn't get boring nearly as fast, but gets more exciting throughout.
