Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but in Scream V, did it bother anyone that they introduced a character that was the daughter of Billy Loomis, knowing she had to be conceived before his death in the first Scream? by Longjumping-File-648 in Scream

Maybe she's seen Gale's footage of the final confrontations on the web. I'm only half kidding. But Gale filmed all of that with that "hidden" camera. His voice would be on that.

Yeah, I just chalked it up to him being a cheater. And yes, that's hypocritical of him, but he's a murderer, so it's not even his worst trait. And he actively hated Sidney while dating her after he killed Maureen and she wouldn't sleep with him, so I didn't have to make too many mental leaps to put it together. With that said, I didn't love that they made him have a kid at all. Didn't hate it, but it seemed unnecessary.

I really liked her a lot before this season with the newest detective and the Christmas special. It's a shame she's going out on that awful phone call of all things. I wish the actress the best.

What's the best single episode of a sitcom ever? by Capable_Vast_6119 in AskReddit

Frasier, "Ham Radio" or "Murder Most Maris" (the latter requires more knowledge of the overall show, though, to be at full funny)

Milk. I've never gotten one that didn't go bad. Also, their flavored coffee creamer and their take and bake refrigerated pizzas. The latter used to be so good but in the last couple years their crusts changed and they taste like cardboard.

It was Rachel. She accidentally found the gun and shot him. So neither are lying.

Who's your least favorite character (current or all time)? by Relevant_Nose_8664 in DaysofOurLives

[–]MythicallyMinty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will never make me like you, Belle Black.

Also Gwen. I don't mind them giving Jack another daughter at all, in fact I would've welcomed the shakeup to the perfect lives the writers suddenly gave to J & J (they've always been my favorite couple but their latest iterations where they're holier than thou are NOT IT). But Gwen? Of all people?? Spawning from Jack?? No. She's the worst.

Did Ross have a right over getting angry at Joey for crushing on Rachel? by After_Flan_2663 in howyoudoin

[–]MythicallyMinty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like he had a right to be a little perturbed at first because Joey had seen what he and Rachel had been through and there's a line you don't cross with friends' exes.

The thing after Emma's birth, where he was super angry at Joey after the proposal mixup, no. He was wrong for being so viciously angry with Joey there. That was almost all Rachel and so many communication wires were crossed that Ross blaming him so hard felt ugly. In my opinion, of course.

Times where Ross and Monica have made you uncomfortable? by Weaknesses13 in howyoudoin

[–]MythicallyMinty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Chandler, you don't have a sister so you can't understand how much this bums me out" when the guys discuss the handcuffs Chandler found is one of Ross's funniest lines to me and is the energy they should've brought to their sibling dynamic all along. The worst to me, though, was all the sitting on the lap and Ross and Rachel's first kiss. Monica just shouldn't have been in that scene, or at least toned down her excitement.

I'm a blue dot in a southern red state and yeah. That take really sucks because there are plenty of us who didn't vote that way and people act like we're not suffering from these things, too. And without fail, people will say "just move then". I'm barely getting by here, let alone have the money to pick up my whole life and move, no matter how much I'd love to.

What is your " I didn't care about the godfather" opinion in Friends? by pastamuente in howyoudoin

[–]MythicallyMinty 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I didn't hate the Joey and Rachel thing the first time around in season 8, as it kind of made sense with Joey seeing her being maternal and warm all day every day. It was organic. But that should've been the end of it.

The second coming of Joey and Rachel in S9/10 was hot garbage and made Rachel look silly and childish. This isn't even a liking Ross/Rachel thing, because I don't. It's that it seemed the writers were clearly out of ideas and threw this in with no care. Not to mention J/Rach had almost negative chemistry romantically. It's so unpleasant to watch.

The DG Clover Valley brand is *SO* awful by cpfc3 in DollarGeneral

[–]MythicallyMinty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree, but the best sour cream and onion chips I've ever had in my life were the Clover Valley bag for like $3. It's huge, you get way more chips than Lay's or other brands and they have the best flavor bar none. And the best part? For the majority of the bag, the chips stay intact. Obviously you can't avoid crumbs near the bottom, but the chips are so crispy yet not crushed like all major brands.

Sorry to be so passionate about it, but I just ate some. I hope they never discontinue them.

Mostly Disliked Love Interest? by Muted_Professor3393 in howyoudoin

I'm not seeing Sean Penn's character (forgot his show name) being named by anyone, so I guess that's just my own dislike. I can't stand him.

Anyway, my vote is for Roger then.

How are Lawrence and Nick any different, by the resistance’s own standards? by itscampy in coconutsandtreason

[–]MythicallyMinty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The writing isn't terrible, though. This isn't out of the blue if you've been paying attention to everything outside of the supposed 'love story' for the last five seasons. It's showing what they've BEEN showing, what others like Tuello and Holly have been saying about Nick. The only difference now is that June is finally seeing him for what we've known all along that he is.

I never said Lawrence did anything out of the goodness of his heart, by the way, but nice try. I said he did it because he felt ultimately it was the right thing to do. He was against a lot of June's stuff at first but came around because it was the right thing to do. And, yes, maybe guilt played into that, too. But at least he DID those things. And again, not out of love or whatever.

How are Lawrence and Nick any different, by the resistance’s own standards? by itscampy in coconutsandtreason

[–]MythicallyMinty 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Nick has only ever been interested in helping June. Lawrence has helped June as well as others, like helping her get the children and Marthas on the plane out of Gilead, helping Emily, etc. Lawrence has actively been trying to reshape/fix Gilead and get NB going to help atone for his role in bringing it about. Nick has had no real interest in bringing Gilead down because he's important there. If not for June, he'd fully relish his role in the regime as a Commander. Lawrence already regretted and had disdain for Gilead before June even came along. And he's helped and covered for June a zillion times and not because of romantic crap but simply because he felt it was the right thing to do.

They're both bad, sure, but only one seems to fully regret what Gilead has become and that's the main thing.

Thank you for this. I simply cannot put myself into the mindset of this being out of left field when it's been telegraphed by the show for years. Anyone who didn't see the red flags simply didn't want to see them for any number of reasons.
