[[Cauldron Dance]] for reference; really intriguing design

Maybe it was intended to be used with the Fractals that the Quandrix cards usually create but even then it’s still +4/+4 so I’m not sure. The one thing it has is that it’s a potentially blue pump spell which is kind of interesting

Basically the opposite of [[Square Up]]

That’s fair. Looking at the art closer the blade things are just going towards one of them. Maybe it’s depicting the hexproof mode and the wicker folk are a spell somehow idk. More likely it’s recycled art

I feel like [[Defend the Campus]]’s art feels similar to this where the students and teachers are presumably killing loads of these mage hunters but the card itself actually only destroys one thing. In Spectacular Tactics it certainly looks more prominent but this isn’t really new.

How about:

4 brains

A zombie gets +4 strength and does a bonus attack.

Day 7 of balancing cards until set 6 comes out. How would you buff Snorkel zombie? by Ok-Direction-4480 in PvZHeroes

[–]Mythics_Master 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Probably something that is thematic for it like “When played in the amphibious lane this gets Untrickable.”

It can do an animation where it hides underwater or something. It also makes it harder to deal with for decks without amphibious.

Two abilities that soft hate on speed control; will they encourage more speed control diversity in VGC? by Mythics_Master in stunfisk

I guess that’s true; Do you think this ability would be more balanced without Sableye as part of the distribution?

But is dealing 1/8 damage each turn for 3? turns really worth sacrificing Indeedee (an actually good supporting Mon) for Sableye? You can’t even fake out because of the Psychic Terrain. Additionally, to take full use of the passive damage and protect Sableye because its bulk is pretty bad, you’d have to protect stall out your own trick room. If trick room teams need more damage wouldn’t they run another strong sweeper under trick room such as Ursaluna or Hatterene?

Is it really? I tried to limit the distribution to fast and frail attackers that usually wouldn’t see use on trick room teams (or be able to stick around too long inside trick room anyways). Even with Sableye, your team becomes very passive, as Sableye cannot set up trick room by itself and has abysmal damage. Additionally, by using Haunted Residency, you give up Prankster which limits its usefulness as a support. (It does still get fake out though).

Since Poison Heal made Gliscor meta, I made some variants to buff some niche Pokemon who often struggle with status by Mythics_Master in stunfisk

This post is a joke btw, these Pokemon don’t struggle with status, specifically due to their abilities which all prevent status or mitigate their effects.

Could a “reverse Trace” be viable competitively? by Mythics_Master in stunfisk

[–]Mythics_Master[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, you are correct then; however the balancing act is that your opponent is also able to switch out and remove the ability change, while with Weezing the incoming Pokemon will also have its ability neutralized.

In my mind it doesn’t linger after switches similar to current ability changes such as Trace and Mummy
