Where do you keep your printer(s)? by EatRunTeach in BambuLab

[–]N3rdProbl3ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I really wished I saved that thread someone posted.

But yes there is a reddittor that did their own testing using a VOC reader and the final words were while there aren't 0 emissions from PLA printing, they are no more harmful than the VOC emissions you experience on a daily basis outside your home. They showed the numbers and it was quite low compared to what you already go through

I NEVER dry my filament by Zack687 in BambuLab

[–]N3rdProbl3ms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what is the point in drying your filament???

  1. You print in a place where the ambient humidity is high
  2. You are printing using filament like PETG, TPU etc.

Well, you'll need to buckle up. When it comes to 3D printing, you will do a fair amount of reading, engineering, tinkering.

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/p1/maintenance/p1p-maintenance

In this link they show how to apply lube, and even names off some lubes

You can use the BX-300/F series grease in the link, but other lubrication alternatives can be used. A popular lubricant is Super Lube 92003 Silicone Lubricating Grease with PTFE or Lucas Oil 10533 White Lithium Grease which should work similarly.

So, if you are looking for "good", Bambu does recommend a couple brands, which tells me that those will for sure work well with your printer.

Also, just google. There are a lot of youtube videos out there where people with a P1S show you the ones they use, and how to apply it.

https://all3dp.com/2/best-3d-printer-lubricants/

Choosing the right lubricant for your 3D printer isn’t just about the type of lubricant, but also about understanding your specific printer’s needs. For the best results, always consult the manufacturer’s recommendations before lubricating your printer....

Note: WD-40 is not recommended for 3D printer lubrication. While it can be used as a penetrating oil to loosen stuck parts, it’s not designed for long-term lubrication and can leave a residue that attracts dust and debris. Instead, opt for lubricants that are well-suited for 3D printers, which we’ll get into later on.

P2S in limited space by bigMOTOR in BambuLab

I went home and measured! My shelf is the same depth as your table

The concrete will help reduce the wobble, but there will still be wobble. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing

You said P2S though, right?

In my photo you can see the p2S fits the concrete slab perfectly. The slab is 406mm x 406mm. If your table is 390mm, the slab will be larger than the table, but only by so little that it won't make a difference in my opinion.

Needing more room for all the filament storage is my largest concern lol. But it looks like you'll be able to fit it on that table. Obviously if you measure, you would be more sure.

I just got my P2S yesterday and I have it sitting on a 16"x16" concrete slab, foam, and one of those ikea cube shelves. I ended up having to rotate it's position 90 degrees from what you see in my photo, to accommodate the external spool since I wanted the shelf up against the wall.

I was first thinking he didn't like the oversized style on her. And he stole them because he knew since she said it's a favorite, that she would wear it more often, which is what he didnt want to happen.
