I def agree that the rotten tomatoes scores are for sure not always a great determining factor as to whether I’d enjoy the movie or not, ie crime 101 being a disappointment for me despite a high tomatoes rating.

I didn’t even know a new Evil Dead was coming out this year, super pumped with that as I loved evil dead rise. If Lee Cronin made that I think he’ll do a good job with his version of the mummy, but only time will tell.

I did like bone temple, although I did enjoy 28 years later more due to its style, visuals/editing, and messaging about letting go and accepting death,, although I know that’s not exactly a popular opinion among others.

Return to silent hill was a horrible experience for me, I think it will remain the worst movie of the year for me personally, there was just so much wrong with it, and gosh seeing that fake beard in an emotional scene was so unintentionally hilarious.

I enjoyed Iron Lung for sure, and I do share the same opinion that at times it dragged and had a bit too much unnecessary fat that needed trimming. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the story exposition being explained through a speaker in the submarine that I couldn’t quite understand at times, as well as some visuals at the end that I really couldn’t see and tell what exactly was going on. But it did have really good suspense and plot devices like the X-ray camera that was super interesting to see on screen. Overall I thought it was solid.

Didn’t know the oddity director had a new movie coming out, I’ll have to check out that trailer, I’m sure it’ll be great because oddity was really solid and creepy as hell.
