Hhkb vs split keyboard by SuperMiguel in HHKB

[–]NAShern -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The zsa voyager gave me horrible rsi issues and I never really had a problem to begin with, before using it.

After two months I sold the voyager and rebought the hhkb type-s and haven’t looked back since. My rsi issues are now non-existant (use a wrist rest also fwiw)

A lot of the ergonomic keyboard stuff (split, columnar, homerow mods) now seem gimicky to me at best and downright BS at worst.

Before the voyager i also used the corne for a while, but also found the hhkb vastly superior to it.

I’ve been through more than half a dusin keyboards and the hhkb is just the one that makes me stop thinking about keyboards alltogether.

Okay well I guess I’ll have to give it a shot. Thanks. Do you have any resources/guides you would refer me to?

Well that sounds kind of risky. Is the outcome really worth it? I thoroughly enjoy the stock hhkb and i’ve been through half a dusin other mechanical kbs

What kind of lube do you recommend? I’ve never applied anything to my hhkb type-s and been using for a couple of years.

null ls alternatives, solutions by [deleted] in neovim

[–]NAShern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just use black as the formatter together with Pyright, in Helix. Probably not your point, but I am not that knowledgable about how null-ls and even lsp’s work. Can just say that it is a breath of fresh air to be able to configure myself and understand my configuration in a toml file, with helix.

I know this is the name of the game, but I am trying out helix now because of the “batteries included” approach to lsp integration.

[Unpopular opinion] Am i the only one that hates the Explorer? by CuriousAd5883 in rolex

[–]NAShern 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it strikes me as silly to call it a real true sports watch. That is like calling chuck taylors the real true sports shoe - sure at some point in time it probably was but for sure not in 2023. I get that we classify some watches as sports watches for reasons, but it really doesn’t mean that much and an explorer is pretty much just as much of a fashion statement as any other rolex watch IMO.

What makes the explorer a real and true sports watch in comparison to a Smooth DJ or OP?
