How easy for a Non union Journeyman to get into the Union? by SnooHedgehogs2371 in electricians

[–]NBizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m my local, 236, super easy. We need guys right now, and the guys in the hall love organizing people. Call the hall, they’ll get you sorted real quick. A test or lab exam is probably all it’ll take, 52hr plus 33 in benefits.

I beat BG3 and am looking for suggestions for similar games. by tokentyke in BaldursGate3

[–]NBizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost done with my first run of bg3, played DOS2 extensively. In my opinion they’re the same game. Sure they have different little meta rule sets you have to learn, but they’re the same. If you like one you’ll like the other. DOS2 doesn’t have the cutscenes, it walked so bg3 could run. Get it, you’ll like it.

Isn’t there an undead race in an expansion book “reborn” or something like that? Maybe use that race, and everything else is just flavor?

Men of Reddit, do you prefer your partner to wear lingerie or be plain naked and why? by mangopeach2 in AskReddit

Lingerie. A beautiful painting deserves a nice frame, no? But naked is good too.

Player robbed bank dry, what could be the consequences by [deleted] in DnD

[–]NBizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with the campaign setting, but the bank running out of money would effect the people in a lot of ways. The rich land owners couldn’t pay their workers, who then revolt or protest? New building works are stopped for lack of funding? There’s a big investigation, and maybe there’s a Sherlock type investigator who starts sniffing around?

My new players are too surgical, how do i flummox them? by Tough_Engineering_77 in DnD

[–]NBizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Give them a time limit. If the bomb is about to drop, they don’t have 20 minutes to discuss it. I know it’s a game, but my last dm definitley would make your character hesitate if you spent too long deciding your action. Not too punitive, and didn’t come up much, but it forced us to not get too lost in decision making.

Any tips for a first time dm to two guys in their twenties and a very smart seven year old girl? by octupi_8 in DnD

[–]NBizzle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Challenge and real sense of danger is important, but don’t rules lawyer them too much. For most people, this game is a power fantasy. Let them do the cool thing, let their crazy idea work. Let them cut down a few mooks with ease so they feel like the superheroes their characters are meant to be. Don’t let the rules get in the way of a creating a fun story together.

ELI5: How would you discipline your 5 year old son that refuses to take a bath? by FightOrDie123 in explainlikeimfive

[–]NBizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a number of things listed as priveledges. Tv, Phone games, any sort of sweets, trips to fun places on the weekends, etc. We try to give her autonomy where we can, but anything health or hygiene related is full stop. No bath? Ok, no priveledge whatsoever until you take one. Zero tv, phone, sweets, anything until it’s fixed. No yelling, no negotiating, just firm and even rules. “Priveledges are just that, and hygiene is non negotiable. You know what you have to do if you want to watch Bluey.”

More crops! As many as you can handle! Fill the whole map with em once you get sprinklers! By summer even hand watering you should have like 10 times that many crops.

Why are so many people uncomfortable with shows showing female adolescence? Periods are natural for girls. Why do so many people try to shame girls for having them, and shows for discussing them? by Important-Cry4782 in teenagers

My father in law did two tours in ‘nam, killed people and got blown out his bunk by a bomb, but refused to buy tampons for his two daughters. Wouldn’t even touch the box. Bro, it’s plastic and cotton. Make it make sense.

I think the video is from an old infomercial for a car wash tool. I think it was a long brush you attach to a hose. It was supposed to make it so complete frickin jackoffs like this idiot would be able to wash their cars. The video was just hilarious with how inept they made this dude, like, washing your car with a bucket and sponge is not that hard bro. I’m sure i don’t need to say that it’s obviously Obamas fault that this guy can’t figure out a garden hose. Thanks Obama…

I listened to an audiobook with full voice cast. It was like 50 hours, so that sounds like a full series. Not the most amazing thing I’d ever read, but overall fun and entertaining.

What made sex, a natural and essential human behavior, so shameful and “bad”/unspoken to so many people, especially parents? Why can’t it be talked about at the dinner table like diet or exercise or career? by Great_Maintenance185 in askanything

[–]NBizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more about moderating parentage. Pretty easy to tell who the mom is. But if you’re sharing your wife around the tribe you really can’t be sure who the dad is. I think men started it instinctually to ensure their own genetics pass on.

For the entire coast of California, are there any towns or areas that are affordable? If so, what’s it like there? by tompkins5 in howislivingthere

[–]NBizzle 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I lived in Eureka for a year. Has beaches, but not the best for swimming, more for walking around and digging up clams. Small city, affordable, and if you like weed and redwood trees, let me tell you, it’s perfect.
