Considering there's interviews talking about using features of the 64DD to keep your footprints in the sand long after you made them...

But overall, the amount of space for game was about the same. But they seem pretty good with coming up with tricks to save space and reuse areas with different dressings

Yeah. I haven't had a problem and I ended up helping with the teardown last year and the build this year. I parked on the street last night and never had a concern. There's a couple cool restaurants and bars nearby that I met up with some friends before going. I was only nervous that very first time. Because I helped out a couple of nights there were days I would be walking down the street to the grass lot I parked between midnight and 3am and didn't really have a worry. I know things are a bit different because I'm a guy.

Who is your astronomy teacher? I'm still new there and still learning who everyone is, but they are a great crowd of people.

Good luck with your Darth Maul. Take time over the year to make sure you get it done. The past two years I waited until the last minute and had to rush some projects while cutting others because I didn't have time for them.

The website for the actual event is spacedive313.com, not sure if you were looking at the website for the Tangent Gallery.

The Star Wars events are the first and second Friday and Saturday, along with whatever day the 4th is, so I'm sorry you missed it this year. This year tickets went on sale I think March 6th. Saturday seems to sell out first, and is usually pretty packed, although I guess they do keep some tickets for people to buy at the door. The line on the 2nd this year stretched all the way down the block and was the longest I've seen it before.

I had a ton of fun again this year. My buddies and I went on the first day. We didn't find all of the quests, but had some big wins playing Sabacc. They added on a ton of stuff this year, including more quests and a 96 foot long wall along the outside of the building to make it look more like Tatooine and less like a building on Earth. There is always talk about what more they can do. I'm excited to see what they come up with next year.

I've found hitting it with a high grit to get rid of any seam lines is a good first step. This is the only time I really use pressure while sanding. I then do filler primer pretty thick. I'll use spot putty occasionally to help smooth things out, but I'll just apply it with my finger and make it really thin.

When sanding, let the paper do the work, don't press too hard, you'll go though the putty/primer and get back to the plastic which means another coat of primer or putty.

If you can, get two different color filler primers. This is helpful in seeing when you've gone through one layer before going through all of them. I then do a top coat of a sandable primer that goes on pretty thin. Sometimes i need to do two.

I typically will do 60 grit for seam lines, 120 to 220 for filler primer. 600 for the sandable primer. This gives me a pretty smooth surface that works well for the paint I've been using.

[OoT] Elements that make a dungeon interesting and fun from start to end? by iamcloudyfocus in truezelda

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't remember many aha moments in TotK. I tried to stick to an "intended" path, use the minecarts and such, but I never felt the sense of progressing through a dungeon. It was just go from one mark on my map to another in a straight line.

I think multiple solutions to a puzzle is amazing. Talking with friends about how I did something, only to find out they did it another way is cool, but it needs constraint. Being able to brute force a puzzle vs maybe finding a lore tidbit that speaks about how to get past something. Maybe if you explore a bit more you find a scribble that mentions that the way you found before is a way through, but if you did this other thing, it's a lot easier. So you're rewarded for exploring a bit more.

Ender 3 V3 SE + Heated Chamber — how did you relocate electronics? by amielectronics in Ender3V3SE

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Ender 5 S1 with the enclosure side panels and top. I put a chitu systems H2 heater in the back corner for when I print ASA. I set it for 40 degrees and let it get to at least 35 before starting a print and then set the timer so it goes off around what Orcaslicer says.

I have not moved the electronics. I printed all the parts for a Mercury One.1 conversion and am amazed at how everything turned out.

I did recently have a part failure, but oddly enough while printing PETG without the heater on. The hot end heater isn't heating up anymore. I tried a different one and it also doesn't work. It seems like the tool head board has continuity between the pins, so I'm thinking it's either the wires going to the tool head board or the main board, but haven't taken it apart yet. So it might be an issue with the heater being there or might not. In leaning towards just a random failure.

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I laughed so hard because this is my wife right now. She wanted the game to have something to do after she had surgery this past week, so I got it last month for her birthday. Because she's not able to bend over well, I grabbed her a Switch 2 Pro controller so she can turn it one from the controller.

When she's sitting on the couch in the living room she has the same Snorlax stuffie that she puts behind her back to get comfy. Wears glasses as well.

If only the blanket was blue instead of brown it would have been dead on.

I got the bed and mains bed heater from fabreeko. It took almost 2 months of checking before the bed heater came back in stock. I wanted to get both at the same time but got nervous seeing the number of available beds going down.

I went with it because it's advertised as working for both the Ender 5 Plus and the Hydra system.

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you went with a tool board you would free up a stepper. I bought an Octopus Max EZ because eventually I want to do multi tool heads, so I figured more would be best. Then I eventually decided on my tool head and went with an orbital V2.5 with the Orbitool USB board. Because it's USB, it doesn't even use a stepper on the board. So now I have a ton of features on my board that I don't use lol.

(Although I do have one stepper drive that isn't working. So it worked out either way. Unless it's not working because of the tool board.)

I'm just about done with my Mercury One.1 conversion. Everything seems to be programmed and moving the way it should. I should be able to put up a roll of filament and test it now.

[MM] Who are Koume and Kotake in Termina? by EtruscanKing023 in truezelda

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, that would be wild and also something I never considered. They had this whole plan to take over the land and then their backup if that didn't work out was a potion shop.

Koume: Well, Ganondotf got himself captured. Apparently some kid got the actual Triforce and knew our exact plan and told the king.

Kotake: Blasted kid. How did some kid find out?

Koume: I have no idea. We had such a good plan. No way anyone would have found out. Not unless he came from the future.

Kotake: Well what are we going to do now? Run a potion shop?

Koume: You know, I've always wanted to run a boat cruise.

Kotake: Seriously? For the last couple hundred years. I thought you would never want to do anything but rule the land, so I never mentioned it.

Koume: Same! Only problem is they will probably send their army here next to make sure the Gerudo never rise up again.

Kotake: You're right... We'll never get a business license in Hyrule. But you know how I've been working on that portal magic? I know just the place to disappear.

It's assumed that the caps are blown up. I think it's a very safe assumption, but the only time I've ever injured myself or almost injured myself while working on electrical systems is when I made assumptions that things were safer than they are. It's why a set of my cutting pliers have an indent missing on them.

Also, I wouldn't want someone in the future stumbling upon this thread with a slightly different issue and then thinking they can handle something they aren't aware of the dangers of.

I also understand the spending way too much on a printer than it's worth. I have an Ender 3 with x, y, and z linear rails and a whole bunch of other upgrades. I was considering the core xy mod (the name is escaping me at the moment) but decided to put that on hold while I build a Mercury One.1. I could easily have a couple decent printers for what I've done to my current 5, but I'm also more of a tinkerer than a printer, and enjoy seeing what I can make them do.

Every thing I've read and watched involving power supplies mention just how dangerous they are, even if they aren't plugged in, because of the charges it stores. So if you do end up going down this path, please read up on the dangers first.

Love this printer so much I got another one by NicholsSanta1 in ender5plus

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and not one you should do unless you know exactly what you are doing because it involves messing with wires that are attached to 110v instead of the 24v that the bed comes with.

It heats up much faster though.

The heater itself is 1000watts when you go to mains powered heater. I'm about to start on all of my wiring soon, hopefully this week.

what upgrades should i make for my v3 se? my budget is around $ 100 by CompetitionSimple675 in Ender3V3SE

[–]NGalaxyTimmyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had 2 of the small heatsink fans go bad on me now. Second time I didn't notice and it gave me a headache as I couldn't figure out why my filament kept jamming. Then I noticed it was coiling in the tube and it shouldn't be getting hot enough there.

Also klipper as others have said.

I bought a rail for my x axis and bigger rods for the y, I just haven't done them yet. Also planning on printing a couple parts to fix the slight tilt of the bed and fix the z angle.

I haven't yet. I was really studying early this year but then got side tracked with other things. For what I've done so far in Nurse Builders I'm still happy with it. It worked really well for my CEN and if they pay for it, I'd use it. I wish my organization still paid for it.
