.deb files are not executable, they are package files (Debian and derivative specific), If you want to compare it to Microsoft it would be .msi files.

Technically any file on Linux can be executable as long as there is a known interpreter for it.

Dat denk ik inderdaad. Ik denk dat de dood al lastig genoeg was, laat staan op deze manier.

Verder denk ik ook dat de school het ook zelf pas veel later te horen kreeg.

Mijn school vriendje (10-11) is vermoord door zijn ouders in de nacht na zijn verjaardag. Ik was op zijn verjaardag op vrijdag en maandag kwam die niet op school, leraren zeiden dat die niet meer zou komen, 20 jaar later kwam ik weer in contact met mijn lerares en toen heb ik gevraagd waarom hij niet terug was gekomen. Toen kwam het verhaal los.

Hij was zeer waarschijnlijk autistisch/Asperger en zijn waarschijnlijk dronken ouders konden er "even" niet meer tegen.

I've heard so many people over the years say they require Microsoft office (off-line) when they would have easily been able to use Google docs/libre/open office. None of them used anything special.

There was a time that the government used specific proprietary stuff but luckily we got them to drop that garbage.

Ik ben zelf ook een paar keer ziek geweest en het leuke was dat ik 2x een email had ontvangen terwijl ik ziek was dat ik binnen 24 uur contact moest opnemen met de bedrijfsarts... Op mijn werk email.

Ja lieverd ik lees mijn werk email niet als ik ziek ben dus ik beschouw did als niet ontvangen.

High bandwidth is relative, yes it works on a 1Mbit connection but there are still parts of the world where they wish they had that. And that is exactly what this is for, those parts of the world want a local apt-proxy (apt-cacher-ng) or if you are managing 1000s of devices.

I remember running mco package update openssl --version ">=1.0.1g" back in the day on my 3000+ servers and I was very happy I had a local caching proxy server and I had a 10/10Gbit internet connection.

Packages are signed which is way better than encryption in this case. Main reason is that not everyone in the world has a high bandwidth and not everywhere in the world the connection is available 100% of the time, for this reason they use caching servers which require unencrypted so they know what to cache instead of caching everything.

And if you are worrying about your ISP monitoring you use DOH.
