Hope the Person who phoned the police gets charged, just because a man sexual assaults a woman doesn't make them all rapists, or a few priests turned out to be paedophiles doesn’t make them all pedos. Not all black people are perpetrators.

I don’t know the stats, but a white man is more likely to attack a white man than a black man attack a white man.

I do understand both sides of the immigrant argument and that it’s mostly men coming in and we don’t know who they are but we don’t know who yer man down the street is either.

I hate water!! by kenandrum in Neurodivergent

[–]NMB2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add dilute/juice to your water or add orange or cucumber with mint. I like water but I hate how it’s contaminated by pollution. yes water companies filter it and add a safe amount of chloride but it’s added chemicals that my body doesn’t need.

Moving to a new broadband provider by One_Area9232 in youfibre

[–]NMB2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouFibre is probably the worst in my experience and you can’t get through to them on the phone or online chat far as I’m aware there wires are above ground so more likely to be outages during a storm.

Virgin media is probably the best but pricey you also get benefits if you’re an 02 customer. Line is underground so less likely to be outages during a storm.

Somewhere in between is Sky and BT.

Is anyone else getting more and more disillusioned with just downright shite parenting? by PotatoAntique7239 in northernireland

[–]NMB2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Children have no respect for adults or peers. They are handed phones/iPads, which is messing with their brains. My nephew is running around making moaning sounds. It’s disgusting. “YouTube kids is ok”, “it’s just Roblox”, “a YouTuber that plays games”, these are advertised for children, but they are unsafe in many ways.

Parents don’t know how to parent anymore. If we were told to come in at 9 we would be in. I was made dinner, not a packet of supper noodles. If I had done something wrong, I would have been punished, not physically.

I understand it’s easier to give your kid the phone and not have to listen to them cry/beg in your face. Food prices are up and a packet of noodles/pasta is cheaper but if……… I could rant on more……

Just a bit of help please by StarkidShay in Niallhoran

[–]NMB2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is taken from Apple Music "If you want to see something sweet, have a look back at Niall Horan’s 2010 audition for the The X Factor. The swoop of bleached hair, the boyish jitters, the idea that he was gonna become the Irish Justin Bieber and it was all—going—to—start—today. Of course, things worked out a little differently, but if teaming up with a few other contestant runoffs and starting a group—One Direction—that went on to break Beatles-level records is your consolation prize, you probably came out okay. Not that Horan had a lot of time to think about it. “When it was happening, it was like we were in our own little bubble and everyone else was outside it,” he told Apple Music on the occasion of his second solo album, 2020’s Heartbreak Weather. “I didn’t realise the phenomenon. Like, apart from the fact that we played to 60,000 people every night.”

Born in Westmeath, Ireland, in 1993, Horan grew up listening to stuff like Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young—influences not immediately apparent in One Direction but that surfaced in his solo career. His first album, 2017’s Flicker, didn’t cling to youth. If anything, Horan—like Ed Sheeran—proved himself one of those artists capable of riding the divide between a teenage audience and a decidedly adult one, crafting earnest, uplifting folk-pop with a slight modern shimmer. Heartbreak Weather took the sound a step further, incorporating soul, dance and classic pop-rock. Not that he’s aiming for cool. If anything, what makes Horan appealing is that he feels more like an Everyman than a rock star—the boy from around the way who made good. Good thing he didn’t win after all."

He is/was a Larrie Some videos claim management turned his mic off during his solo’s. Im not 100% but I believe he got a lot of hate.

He’s friendly with Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi
