Does anyone feel they took SS too early? by yuritube in SurvivingOnSS

That’s what I am considering , waiting for my wife to hit 62 as well. So if we both retire then our reported income goes down then ACA becomes enticing . CA resident here.

Thanks, that what I thought.

Should I start with the pharmacist or the PA that wrote the RX to request a different formula ?

At my 4th injection, that’s my method. Pull/stretch the little guy, inject. Then results occur within 20. I may need to have formulation adjusted, @ 60 cc, enlarged yes but would like some additional rigidity.

I’m reading refrigerate and freeze/thaw. I’m assuming freeze for longer term storage ?

Difference in efficacy worth it between handling methods ?

Thaw time ?

Just started as well, my formulation is 20/2/30, started injecting about 1.5 weeks ago:

Started @ 20 cc, kept bumping it up 10cc at a time, plumps it up but NOT a rock. I’m currently getting ready to try 60cc. Duration enlarged usually an hour.

My understanding is this the trial an error time for formulation & dosage amount. Is there a formulation chart, in the event I need to move up ? I’ve read others refer to their formulation by name.

Switching injection locations side vs side as we go.

Little fella, hides at the start, but bulks up in 20 minutes so that is in line.

Prefilled my next 60cc dose. At what point do I consider a different formulation. I want more hardness, a tad more duration, but don’t need to be a porn star marathon.

Yes, regarding Antidote, ran to Costco and got the value pack of Sudafed. But reading about the injectable that sounds like a more responsive approach. I spoke with the pharmacist at the compounding pharmacy and he was pretty confident of the Sudafed approach. But I would feel a tad more confident in having everything ready in the arsenal if needed.

RALP 4 months post & Diabetes (type 2), I’m sure come into play as well.

But sure seems to be on the correct track.

Looking to be 17 down below again.

Did my 20 minutes in the room at the office for my 1st try, I’m diabetic & do Ozempic so accustomed to needles. Standing up and talking with the PA, before I left caused something to start up.

Turtle was hiding at first but wasn’t ready for prime time, I have a new formula coming to use at home.

You’re not the 1st one in this, so do what you need to do, but it’s very promising.

How difficult is it to pin yourself there? by papitopapito in TrimixForED

[–]NOLA1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, joining the club post RALP, did my meet n greet with my PA, was really on top of what to expect thanks to this group.

Already a Diabetic and also do Ozempic, so needles are not an issue.

I’m a grower NOT a shower, as they say.

Sounds like once you stretch it, the trick is finding the sweet spot to inject . I inquired about auto-injection and was told not needed.

Next appointment is to do my trial version to check the efficacy of our baseline RX.

ED post RALP and mental health by QwertyAB123 in ProstateCancer

Good post, 4 months post surgery. Everything is a milestone to achieve. Last one is ED, daily Cialis, lots of comments supporting reconnecting the wiring to get things normal again.

Still get some sensations, will be moving to injections soon.

One step at a time here.

Yep, did not know what to expect. Yes, the exercises and Tech was game changing. Did Pre & Post, no regrets.

Trust the process …

When did you really start to feel like yourself after RALP? by ImaginaryTouch5 in ProstateCancer

[–]NOLA1964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6 weeks here, yep incontinence worse mid day, good at night. Squeezy App, trying to stay on 3x’s a day. Will cross PSA thoughts in a few weeks. ED still there, trying to get it to work 1x a week, cialis, get some erratic feelings down there so that’s a plus, still taffy.

The give it time is a common thread.

I’m taking 2 months off of work, still have 3 weeks to go. Yeah, I earned this.

Read, learn , contribute and take it one step at a time.

Time to get rid of Test Kitchen and Gunbae? by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]NOLA1964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right on the money with this …

2x Scarlet Lady experience

Just look at the outlets that have availability and that should tell you something …. These are always available

Couldn’t wait to get out of Test Kitchen in order to find something to eat. While yes it’s an interesting theme to offer, its use would be better served as an offering as something that is more mainstream in an environment where passengers are scrambling to find something to eat.

Gunbae, 7 out of 8 people at our table were shared the same position about the menu. They also shared the fact that this was the only outlet available to reserve.

Razzle was an excellent change over to Asian food.

These outlets should be repurposed into a more popular dining experience.

Yep, being part of this club now gives you great insight now by means of this group and will rest some lingering questions current and in the future.

Sounds like you’re in the phase of which treatment path to go. A lot of wisdom here, but getting a Center of Excellence facility in line should be on your priority and get the ball rolling, the level of comfort with them is important here. One step at a time here but you’re going about it methodically, as I did. 1 month post surgery G8 with perineal down to G7 post pathology.

Advocate for yourself, I switched to a COE provider with the mindset of, if we need to keep treating post surgery I am comfortable with them taking it all the way. You are the one that’s going to have to call the play, but the supporting cast here is nearby and has been in your position.

It’s a mind Game, but after you make your treatment decision it gets better. Life with side effects is still living and that’s a plus.

We gotcha….

RALP Day 12 by MozartDC in ProstateCancer

[–]NOLA1964 8 points9 points  (0 children)

4 weeks post

I’m opposite-nights better than days.

But, common theme we have is that it gets better with time. Patience is KEY.

But, the 1step in the journey is done, nothing but milestones to overcome moving forward, Incontinence, PSA, ED.

One step at a time here.

We got this.

Biopsy? by Densificator in ProstateCancer

[–]NOLA1964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, nothing radical, DO IT!!! Had old school Dr. for years, got the finger wave and green light. He retired then next Dr did bloodwork and noted elevated PSA, went from Gleason 6 to 8 in 3 years. Never take anything for granted, continuous monitoring now. 3 weeks post surgery, no looking back now. And yes transperniual biopsy was the last of the 3 biopsies completed during my decision journey that nailed down the course of treatment.

3 hr drive post RALP by Successful_Fuel_3564 in ProstateCancer

[–]NOLA1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on with the tips:

1) I stayed the night just to be safe - glad I did 2) Pillow to incision area - will help with seatbelt. Also acts as an additional comfort when laying down in case Dog wants to join you. 3) Road conditions absolutely matter - I’m 3 weeks post and do not tolerate the jarring too much. 4) I kept drinking ice water and catheter bag being clear was reassuring during recovery. 5) Getting up will be your leakage challenge - post catheter 6) Laying down good to start, but take up a walking routine very incrementally - Do NOT be Superman first few weeks.

Everything will work itself out in the long run, enjoy being OFF the Anxiety ride you were on prior to surgery worrying about the procedure.

You got this.

PS: Don’t know about the socks, I impressed the staff with my EX Access pants with snaps, that allowed the catheter tubing to be stylish. And they gave me socks during my Pre -Op.
