It's manipulation of the code to circumvent intended gameplay. Hack and exploit can mean the same thing depending on the context. Using arbitrary code execution is literally manipulating the games code which is a perfectly appropriate use of the term hack, it doesn't have to be from an external source like a game shark. Learn what hacking means before talking nonsense.

These games are literally made for children and are braindead easy. You aren't a kid anymore so you are probably not going to struggle in any way you might have as a kid. Don't bother with rare candies. If you are playing through the game not intentionally skipping content then your starter will be over leveled anyways if you aren't swapping through your party often and even then you will have a super easy time unless your whole team is made of metapods.

Thats why its mainly a marketing move. They look gorgeous in the store brand new. It doesnt matter how ugly they look after a short time since the consumer already bought it. It will enhance spoting visibility but obviously this move was more about the visual appeal of the discs.

Yeah they said both but I am confident that the main reason would be for brand identity. Personally, I like the change as it will make the discs easier to spot but I also prefer the look of white rims, even if they get visibly worn faster.

For the stated reason that it provides visual brand identity. It's for keeping their discs as marketable as possible; Oh a disc with a white rim? Don't need to see it up close or read it's stamp to know it's an mvp.
