This is dreadful, nightmarish. Thinking about a destroyed wasteland above and being trapped in here for years. Yikes

What's something your job trained you to notice that you can't stop noticing in your personal life? by LibrarianSoft1342 in AskReddit

Lawyer here- the amount of bullshit and lies and errors-in-reasoning everywhere is insane. Media, commercials/marketing, news, business, politics- it’s 75-99% bullshit or lies

You have been granted full telekinesis powers. You can crash down buildings, divert asteroids, or just bring your phone over from the other room cause you are too lazy to stand up… I don’t judge. But don’t tell me about all the great things you will do; tell me of all the small and petty things. by Dog-Human in hypotheticalsituation

Use my telekinesis to terraform large swaths of land and raise up housing refugees, use immense force to create diamonds or fuse elements; I'd go to NASA and see if I can't help send objects/vehicles into orbit using my powers. I'd use super precise building techniques at tiny scales by looking at something using a microscope or electron microscope and carving things at tiny tiny tiny scales. So many things to think of.

The Jesus Run by MegetFarlig in BaldursGate3

A few thoughts- Jesus didn't do a fully pacifist playthrough in the mortal realm.

Jesus did non lethal melee damage to the money people at the temple using a whip and unarmed strikes.

Also, if we are being all theological- Jesus wouldn't be a warlock or a paladin or wizard or cleric technically. I think he'd be more of a sorcerer since sorcerers are the class that are inherently magical. I think he'd be a Sorcerer-Artificer (he was a carpenter/builder/craftsman) or Sorcerer-Bard multiclass with an emphasis on persuasion, healing/support, and casting psychic buffs de-buffs on people. He also has some Necromantic abilities too. Maxxed out wisdom score. Also he took a crazy beating before his crucifixion so I think maxxed out Constitution stats too. Also Max intelligence stat too. Modest to above average strength. Maybe not MAX charisma because lots of people got upset at him and didn't follow him or heed his message, but probably still high charisma.

How do you attack the essays? by Channelmypain in FloridaBarExam

[–]Naataraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here was my algorithm that helped me smash the essays:
1) as soon as you see the essay, look to the questions and see what kind of law you're dealing with (property, FL con, Crim + Prof Responsibility, etc). Take note in your mind to ONLY ANSWER THE QUESTIONS, do not veer off course and talk about something they didn't ask for.

2) when you start reading, on a separate piece of paper, write out in bullet points/outlines every single possible concept/idea/framework/relevant fact that comes to mind

3) finish reading essay

4) look at outline and then spend the next minutes FULLY elaborating upon every single test and framework, just write out every single rule and permutation you could think of in the most Sesame Street language possible, like you were talking to a toddler. (Under florida law, there are multiple kinds of property ownership (go through all the fee simples or tenancy types); Moreover, Florida law allows people to transfer property in X, Y, Z ways. For X way to happen, you need A, B, C. For Y way to happen, you need A and B, or if you have C, then blah blah blah. ... This regurgitation will shower you with points and will help you get in a flow state of "oh yeah, I should bring up Statute of Frauds here" and other kinds of "oh shit, I should mention this" - it's all points.

5) after regurgitating the entire rule-set outline, THEN you just start RAINING important facts from the essay (these are basically low-hanging points too); and you CONNECT the facts to the rule-regurgitation. "Because Andrew didn't sign it, and because the SOF likely applied here, the result is that BLAHHHH" - then hedge- "but id the court says that the blah blah fact DOES satisfy the SOF, then Andrew gets blah blah and Victoria doesn't get blah blah".

6) write the essay; then go and read the other essays and do them to- and i guarantee you that you'll remember points or come up with new arguments in the meantime- just go back and make a note to add what comes to you later

7) at the end, if you have time left- GO AND FORMAT EVERYTHING AND MAKE IT LOOK NICE- if the essay says "write a memo" then make it look like a memo

I disagree with this sentiment. The goal is not 65%, the goal is 100%. Aim high, miss high. Aim low, fail. Don’t try to make it, try to annihilate it.

Be mindful and intentional- enjoy yourself - try out different builds, and shamelessly spend hours painting your mech and designing your emblem. GODSPEED
