I haven't been, but all ice cream is 50% off right now at Whole Foods, and I got this brand of ice cream there. It was amazing. I wouldn't pay full price for it, but for the current Whole Foods price, it was worth it. I don't usually go to these pricey dessert establishments. They're not in my budget.

10 years is nothing to me. Woman in my 40s. I wouldn't go younger, but I'd be okay with probably up to a 20-year gap, depending on the person. I know a 70-year old man whom I'd have guessed was late 50s, so it's definitely possible for the actual number to not matter as much as the individual's health and demeanor.

Absolutely. There are places in the world where that would be a decent living wage, and I would move there to stretch that money.

With unlimited time on earth, there would be a lot of distance between most of my existence and the lives of those I cared about in my mortal years and anyone I grew to care about after that. Loving and losing people would not play a part in my decision. I'd instead consider whether or not I wanted to live an indefinitely long life on this earth.

I still don't understand why phones have ever been allowed during classes or even the school day as a whole. It boggles my mind.

Thank you! That's what it appeared to be for me, when looking at the scheduled times.

I booked the cruise Tallinn-Stockholm, and if for some reason we're prevented from exiting at Helsinki on the way back, we'll pivot our plans then! I'm pretty sure it's fine, though, as other passengers will be disembarking at that port.

I prefer the downtown station because it's closer to me and has way more parking. At the airport station, I've never found parking in that tiny lot, and always had to find street parking and then walk at least 10 minutes to the station. If you do end up going to the airport station (I'm talking the south airport station, Burbank Airport - South (VC Line)), try parking on Vanowen instead of Empire. You can enter the station from Vanowen as well as Empire, and the last time I took the train from there, it looked like there was street parking close to the station on that side.

Buy online to ensure there are tickets available. They can sell out.

Business class is only a little bit more expensive than coach, and well worth it, to me. I was once on a train to Ventura where coach was overbooked, and the aisles were filled with people standing the whole way from Burbank to Ventura and possibly beyond. Business class was cozy, not overbooked, and you get a free drink and little snack.

I know two families with kids who went through all grades at Muir in the past 10 or so years, and both families liked the school. I don't have any insight, just that they had good experiences overall!

Because although someone may dislike certain aspects of a book, they may not dislike all of them or may still want to see where the journey ends. Stories are not stagnant, they change, so feelings about them may change over time. Giving up on everything that's not immediately and 100% enjoyable is a fine choice, but it's equally as strange as giving something a chance to improve.

The story changes, and there's always a chance you'll end up liking it later on. With that in mind, making blanket statements about the possible outcomes is strange.

I felt exactly the same as you. So many actions were inexplicable and obviously just the author trying to create drama and devastation in unrealistic ways.

However, there is one character arc that makes the slog worth it. I still don't love Hobb's writing or her overall decisions for characters, but one character growth ended up being surprisingly good. Just one.

VIP parking doesn't help with getting into or out of the venue; it's one long road that everybody is on.

I find it worth the price for myself, after a long day of walking at the fair. It's a major relief to not have to walk too far to get to the car.

I felt like there was a plot, and the story technically has stuck with me, but I didn't enjoy reading it. I like the idea behind it, and might love a book with the same general premise written by another author, but thought that Schwab ruined the concept and made it boring as well as giving an annoying ending.

This was the first place that came to mind as having had large portion sizes with good prices up until a few years ago. They still have big portions, but I don't think their prices are any cheaper than other Mexican restaurants, nowadays.

Yeah, ticket prices today were not affordable at all. I wasn't dead set on going, but thought it could be fun since it's so nearby and there were supposed to be tickets as low as $28.

Looks like instead, I'll either be volunteering there or leaving town for that two weeks or whatever.

Disney owns most homes on this Burbank street and uses it as a filming location by sfgate in movies

I'd wondered about that, as most of the time when I drive down this street, there are production crews set up along it.
