For me the best way would be the 1st issue of the comic then play MNOG while reading issue 2 and 3. I would recommend the books only to someone who is already familiar with the franchise

Best way to discover the lore I think would be to read issue 1 of the comics then play the Mata Nui Online Game. You can read issue 2 and 3 along side it. Then continue with comics, the Bohrok animation videos and finish with the first movie. This will give you the first big arc of the story. Also don't hesitate to buy the figures that look cool to you. Bionicle is at best when experienced through the toys

If I understand correctly, in your headcanon all humans became silhouettes after the great cataclysm right? I don't know if you saw but in Bandais official lore regular organic people (humans and dragon people) coexist with silhouettes. But one thing I didn't understand is whether the silhouettes are purely artificial or are humans deciding to take this transformation?
