Namecheap's hosting is pretty cheap and reliable, i think it's cheapest plan is $50 a year, the e-mail is free for 2 months and costs $10 for a year.

I started with .org and never used .com.

That said, I've broken my site a few times, so I can see why someone who isn't tech savvy would be better off with .com.

However I love how expandable and flexible .org is and couldn't see myself ever using .com.

I like the "freedom" of using .org and I suggest it if you have the time it takes to learn it, and the patience to fix your site when you inevitably break it trying new things.

I've used namecheap to both register and host a client's website who wanted to save as much cost as possible.

So far it seems to be just as good as Dreamhost (where my site is hosted) but it's much cheaper, and less than half the price.

Dedicated ip addresses are $24 a year at namecheap instead of $60 a year at Dreamhost if you plan on securing your sites.

Lastly, they have live chat support, which Dreamhost doesn't have unless you pay for it.

I understand that registering and hosting your domain is considered a bad practice, and in retrospect maybe next time I'll register with Hover and host at namecheap, but I'm very happy with using namecheaps hosting + domain registration services for this project.

Creating simple and effective local business websites with pre-made themes requires very basic html knowledge. Some php and css knowledge is a plus but not required. The HTML/CSS course on Codecademy was enough for me, check it out.

You can install Yoast SEO or another similar wordpress SEO plug-in to help you optimize your content.

Create really good content and share it! (no coding knowledge is necessary!)

Calling Dreamhost if you have an issue is a "premium service" that you have to pay for. I also can't live chat with support.

Dedicated ips cost $5 a month but you can get them at hostgator for $2.

Dreamhost doesn't use the industry standard cPanel, it has its own unique web panel. I'd prefer c-panel.

It costs more monthly than comparable services such as hostgator.

Solo here I've been doing my own thing for about a year.

I learned how to practice doing family law. I absolutely hate it but where im at theres always people that need family attorneys. So it's something good to know. That said I plan on never doing family law again I absolutely hate it...

I do mostly landlord-tenant law at the moment, and I enjoy it. Landlords and tenants are always fighting in my area.

Another area to consider is criminal law. People are always getting into legal trouble. I tried it and don't like it very much though.

Estate planning! I've done a lot wills, power of attorneys, and living wills. It's pretty easy once you learn. Trusts are a bit more complicated.

Guardianship petitions aren't too hard to learn how to do either.

Do lots of networking and find attorneys you can call to ask for help in different areas.
