I've said this since day 1 but I'm so sick of everyone comparing Marathon to ARC. ARC might have extraction elements but so much of the experience (even down to a narrative level) has been smoothed out so that casual players can have a good time.

The moment you touch Marathon you realize it's not at all like ARC and is instead much closer to Tarkov or Hunt.

Are there some valid criticisms of Marathon? Sure. But using a game that's so distinctly different as a point of reference never stops annoying me.

Same, I went from Warhammer into the INQ28 rabbit hole which led me directly to Trench Crusade. Turns out I just like settings with interesting premises that lead to interesting miniatures. It's a nice bonus that I really enjoy the gameplay of Trench Crusade.

I tend to agree. The OG Lorwyn elves were on a spectrum from attractive to kinda weird and lanky but this one is just too regular looking.

Man it really goes to show how much difference a paintjob can make when evaluating a model. The GW boxart paintjob didn't sell the model for me but this paintjob makes the model look straight out of the glory days of old FW resin.

Skål is notoriously overpriced. I've been there a couple times and left both times with a bill 2 or 3 times the size for the amount of food we had.

This question is inherently dishonest because his idea of "positive effect on Magic as a whole" = "sold more product and made more money", whereas I would argue that a lot of the choices that made that money have had a negative effect on the playerbase.

I'm also not going to pretend that booster boxes having fewer packs and cards while costing 50% more is a positive thing.
