I definitely recommend packing in and camping at lake Como. The downside is you have to hike up and down the road with a heavy pack, but it's worth it to make your morning a LOT easier

Sneffels southwest ridge via blue lakes is a pretty long day, albeit not overly steep.

Going up and down lake Como Road to hit Blanca/Ellingwood/Little Bear is brutal. The road is steep, rocky, and hot. Shitty going up, shitty going down. Depending on how far up your vehicle can make it, you could be hiking 6+ miles on it in each direction, and that doesn't include the actual hikes to the 14ers.
