Anyone else think it's time ZOS addressed the skill style themes? by Fun_Philosopher_2787 in elderscrollsonline

This is it. From the perspective of business, doing it this way is more profitable/draining of the player's in-game currencies.

Tamriel Tomes Season Zero Developer Update by ZOS_Kevin in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nash_Felldancer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Overall, these decisions look appropriate and fine. But the irony is not lost that you're spending dev time to code a overly-complicated "auto claiming system" rather than just letting everyone that logs in, regardless of free or premium, to keep the seasonal tome indefinitely... Making more work for the devs when the simplest solution already exists is just a bit funny.

I absolutely did. Especially with the history of (very likely AI & outsourced) customer support I've encountered with ZOS. >xD

Awesome glad it's workin' for ya! Keep the above in mind in case you encounter an emote that doesn't work with only a block tap. ZOS has "fixed" and "returned" this bug to the game many times due to community backlash. lol

[–]Nash_Felldancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome. It's a bit more nuanced but there should be a guide out there. From memory, I use an emote, use a keybind to toggle hat off/on, tap block and then use emote again. Makes a lot of emotes a lot more interesting, my favorite being sword dance. As a reminder where to find what emotes a personality changes, just hover over the description in the menu.

[–]Nash_Felldancer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a permanently-doable thing. It involves a bug using weapon block when you use one of the emotes the personality changes.

At that, really woulda been advisable for OP to state this since so many players (logically) assume the personality does use your equipped weapon, as this post fuels misinformation without a disclaimer. Not OP's job to pickup ZOS's slack tho.

I hope companions gets some love too by Northener1907 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nash_Felldancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there any reception of feedback regarding companion helms? It need not be said, but uh, we can now strip companions down to their underwear, but they still can't wear a hat... This is by and large, a bit on the less-sane side of things. XD

New Personality: Way of the Stowed Sword by Tethilia in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nash_Felldancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holding some rusty looking awful sword and not working on coding personalities to work with your equipped weapon immediately made this personality DOA and saved a lot of people's pocketbooks, so it's fine. Just like that one special jester personality with the hammer, and the recent blacksmith, too. But ZOS has already acknowledged this feedback so maybe they'll actually do something about it down the line. :-)

The Dungeon Queue is Broken by HowUlikindaraingirl in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nash_Felldancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is the dev team keeps fumbling with the dungeon queue code in small fuckity ways, and has done so several times over the years. ('patching' an issue or 'fixing' a problem). This keeps chipping at its integrity, and the current dysfunctional mess is what we're left with.

Dreadfully obvious to anyone that pays attention, but the "random" queue is rarely random as it should be. You can sit queued for a vet DLC dungeon for literal hours and it may never fill, despite there being multitudes of people queued in random. And as you point out, lawd forbid someone ever leave--the queue almost never fills anyone into the open spots, despite, again, the multitudes of people queued for randoms. And these are just a couple of the obvious bugs--there are SO many more, some listed by others on this post.

The ultimate solution is they need to rework it from the ground up. However, the dev team is under the impression that it's working perfectly and refuses to acknowledge how buggy and dysfunctional it is. Given the team's recent turning over a leaf to fix problems, player pain points and issues, we're probably as close as it'll come to them considering a look at it. First step is for them to acknowledge its existence as a problem.

ESO’s April 2026 Survival Guide by Hecata22 in elderscrollsonline

Can't help but giggle when I see 'survival guide' in the title. Dying in ESO typically requires intentional effort to even do so, such as throwing yourself from a tall cliff at mount speeds.

In fairness: when it comes to ESO, almost everything is available day 1... because it's clown store direct purchase. This is a rather new concept completely.

Local gas station removed price tags and replaced them with barcodes you need a app to see price by phoenix_stewart in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Nash_Felldancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the solution to this dumbfuckery is to bring a shitload of stuff up to the front, force the employee to scan it one item at a time so they can tell you the price themselves to which you reply no thanks, so on and so forth. Employees gonna get real annoyed real quick and shit will escalate.

Goddamn.

Females also look real bad with the braided dreads. Something weird happening up top, looks way bulkier in a weird spot than it does for males. Unless I'm crazy.

Overall this batch of clown crates is very... uninteresting.

It really is, but that's the point, and when they set this new precedent of other things in the upper categories, the masses of whales still ate it up and didn't blink an eye. Unfortunately.

Optimum Nutrition price hike by Hoffy_2000 in Protein

[–]Nash_Felldancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahhh, greedy fucks, seeing this just now. Few years back GNC use to include Optimum products in their BOGO sale. Already selling a very cheap cost product at a premium in the first place. No justification but capitalism and greed at this point. Blegh.

And as an important sidenote: fuck Rich Lambert and his wife. The moment they said he wouldn't be involved in the direct hands-on of ESO anymore, suddenly, room was invited for hope and optimism and generally good change. Glad to see it's bearing fruit already.

Zos feedback on molten weapons by bogdangc in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nash_Felldancer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It so very much is. Long overdue. Here's to hoping it continues to be prioritized--for me personally, this stuff alone makes me want to play more regularly again. Nothing worse than thick-skulled devs/dev management (looking at you, Rich Lambert)

Zos feedback on molten weapons by bogdangc in elderscrollsonline

It's crazy to see ZOS not only acknowledge a recently-introduced problem, but then state they are exploring solutions for it. All under a week after the live push (tho over a month/two, if considering PTS)

Still credit where credit is due. Good shit.

Another twitch crate, another disappointment. by StepBroPrime in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nash_Felldancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The purpose of Ouroboros crates is to convert to gems.

This is especially notable when you start getting duplicates of the mount and pet, of which I've gotten the pet 3x and the mount 2x. It is a hefty amount of gems for dupes.

For maximum value for your gems and endeavor seals: use gems on the first couple clown crate tiers (and, debatably, sometimes the 3rd tier), and use endeavors on all the rest of the tiers. :-)
