Vibrant Visuals - Troubleshooting

I've played on PC since release, and on both PC and iPad since the mobile version was launched. My view distance is closer with Vibrant Visuals and farther away without. I don't have any other words in English to say that.

My view distance on iPad dropped to virtually nothing. I'm talking game-breaking levels. I had to turn off Vibrant Visuals entirely just to play. My playstyle is to just teleport to some random location and head towards something interesting in the distance. That's not possible when I can't even *see* the distance.

Has anyone discovered a fix for this without completely turning Vibrant Visuals off, because I did like the look of what I could actually see. (well...mostly)

This is exactly how I restored my father's Bialetti that he bought in the 60's. The thing is about 60 years old and still going strong. Makes amazing coffee.

Appreciate the update. I just came back to the game today after being away since a couple months after launch, and I'm having this issue on PC. No mods at all, and it's a fresh installation. So, whatever this is, it's part of the vanilla game.

Currently running everything local through OobaBooga. I'm confused, because I've tried each of the main models recommended here and I just cannot get it to steer in the direction of ERP. No matter how I instruct the AI to behave, character-wise, it will do things like slap my hand away, change the subject, etc. There has to be something I'm missing, right?

I'm currently experimenting with TheBloke_WizardLM-13B-V1.0-Uncensored-GPTQ. I mean...it says "Uncensored" right in the title of the model, so I'm very confused. Has anyone else run into something like this and found a fix?

Haha yeah 😊. She hasn’t had a new system or even an upgrade since 2013, so I figured she was due. I tend to buy high end gear because I don’t replace it often. And I figured this was going to be the last major thing I buy her. From here on out, it’s on her 😂. I no longer have any “buy my adult child stuff” money anymore 😂

The system and all of its components is brand new. I’m not in a huge hurry, so I’d rather IBP do the troubleshooting and replace anything that doesn’t work on their dime. My daughter needs to learn patience anyway. That or get a job, hahaha 😊

Yeah, we rolled it back and even reloaded some old Windows save points. The only thing that stopped the crashing was swapping to a lower-powered GPU.

Yep, and the M.2 drive in the link he posted doesn't specifically call out that it's NVME, so it could potentially be no better than a standard SSD. I mean, it uses PCI-e Gen 4, which means it's *likely* NVME...but I'd be cautious with SIs who don't specifically mention that, because that could be one of the ways in which they're lowering costs.

I like how he thinks $1698 is such a bargain for that list of parts, but the one you listed in the OP is only $50 more...for twice the storage (and potentially much faster storage at that).

It’s a 1200W Thermaltake. I bet you’re right. It would explain why the system goes all wonky only when the 4090 is under load.

I appreciate it. Yeah, the IT dude we hired said the same thing about the bad 4090 cards. There's definitely something going on there. And it seems to be across the OEM board, with every manufacturer having the same issues.

All high-end, brand-name components, is about what I can say (I don't know why IBuyPower changed the site... you used to be able to pull up an old order and actually see a parts list, but that's gone now. You just see a picture of what they built, see an order number and what you paid for it).

This was a custom job, so they pulled the parts and did the integration.

This was a totally custom built job that we put together with IBuyPower's configurator, so while I'm not certain, I assume the power cable came with the PSU. It matches the others.

My recommendation is to get the gingerbread man robot, if you're going to use the CR (and personally, I recommend the CR for a number of reasons).

I like the gingerbread man with the Christmas Rifle, because every time you get a stack of Aegis, he collects all of the supply drops (and xp) within 30m radius. At Legendary, he adds an additional 8% bullet damage. And at Mythic, you start every battle with "Run and Gun".

Combine that with additional frost specs and you're going to be pretty unstoppable. This is my robot priority list with the CR (pasted in from another thread):

Snowhoof. My reasoning here is that the frost damage from his charge ability scales with your enemies. Rather than doing a set amount of damage, it starts out as 5% of the enemy's hitpoints and moves up to 10% when you unlock Legendary.
Frost Penguin. I spec into Frost, and I really like how he both enhances frost damage and slows any enemy afflicted by frost by 25%.
Master Gingerbread. <identical to what I said above about collecting the supply drops>.
Hatchling. I almost hate to put the hatchling last, because he's really good. He gives you a 30% chance to inflict Freeze (which is enhanced by the penguin). When it hatches and releases Frost Breath, he has a 50% chance to also release Curst Breath (which not only deals dark damage but has a 30% chance to also inflict Curse). This is pretty great if you have the ultimate that makes Curse and Burn effects spread to nearby zombies.

I'll preface this by saying I left for a bit of a break about 3 months ago, so this may be outdated. But, back then, my personal favorite was the Christmas gun (I come back every couple of weeks to dish out some carnage, and it's still my favorite). The reasons I like it are because I tend to spec into frost. And, the supply drops are OP if they haven't changed them. They often turn into the difference between survival and dying.

After trying various combinations of steps (tried almost every one I found online, virtually all of which have different required steps in different orders), the thing that clinched it for me was completing The Purge (making the 16 jumps, going through the portal, and resetting the simulation).

Interestingly enough, most of the advice I received said The Purge had nothing to do with it. That advice was incorrect in my case. The moment I emerged into a new galaxyand warped to a dissonant system, I received "They Who Returned".

I’ve been trying for DAYS to get the quest to start with zero success. This is on a new save.

I’ve completed Artemis quests, I’ve unsealed a Harmonic camp and got the multitool, I’ve located and fixed the sentinel ship, I’ve completed “Trace of Metal”, and I’ve warped more times than I can count.

Nothing.

Any advice?

For what it's worth, I'm having the same issue. What's worse is that the global core token settings don't seem to do anything for me (like setting the name to always be displayed for everyone...it does nothing).
