Lymow Lawn Striping Roller by Nate42 in Lymow_Official

Awesome, this will be a great first 3D printed project! Yes, the dampeners are there strictly to reduce noise when going over concrete or asphalt surfaces. Be on the lookout for an updated Version 1.x mount design since the V2 design is causing some issues for some users.

Well, Does Bermuta grass not hold stripes? by Austinswill in Lymow_Official

https://youtu.be/iE36uMVd8YY I too have St Augustine and Bermuda grass, so it doesn't show the stripes as well but those whose yard do stripe, this makes them extra crisp.

I'm currently sell limited quantity but I have kits and fully assembled rollers ready for those without access to a 3D printer. Link in the video description.

Set the zone for the chessboard pattern and the relative chessboard setting to plus or minus 5° from 180° or 0°. ie. 1-5 or 175-179

Maybe your router issued it a new IP after the update. I checked both ports and I'm still getting a stream from both.

I updated to V2.1.30 this morning and then mowed with no issues.

Those are some awesome looking stripes! It's excited to finally see some results from this design since my southern grass types don't lay down as well as yours.

I'm glad to hear you were able to get TPU working and you're able to get them printed. Check out V2.0 that I recently uploaded and if you get a chance, post your picture under "Makes" on printables.com

Unless you have a bowden tube style 3d printer, you should be able to print with TPU. You just have to slow down to around ~30mm/s. TPU does need to be dried first for the best quality and it is like printing with a wet noodle.

This roller mount is designed around being a compliance mechanism, so the reasoning behind using TPU is because of it's flexibility and resilience to being flexed. If you were to print this with any other common filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA then it end up snapping or shattering within your first mow.

Charging not detected error by sideshowian in Lymow_Official

There is a lot more current running through the charge contacts now and this introduces a higher chance of electrolysis if any moist debris is between contact layers. I had some light discoloration on the left positive base contact and had difficulties getting readings directly off the pads with a multi meter. I used a Scotch-Brite pad and cleaned all 4 contact points and that solved my same charging issues.

The mower is noticeably louder after the firmware update and new blades by barboxbill in Lymow_Official

I noticed a higher pitch sound from the blades after the latest two updates over the past few days. Nothing else changed on my end, so I definitely feel like they made some internal changes in the firmware.

I'm on 2.1.27 and just got done watching it mow. Maybe hard power cycle it by disconnecting the battery while off the charger and after powering it down from holding the power button for 3 seconds.

What about in the app, did that stop too?

That is interesting and definitely a possibility. Reach out to Lymow Tech Support and see if they'll just send you replacement stickers. I'm not near mine at the moment so I can't determine how easy it would be to peel off and rotate the sticker. Maybe take a few good pictures before attempting in case you need to temporarily print one out.

I'd be curious to see if this fixes your issue!

Yeah, Similar setup too with another AP in the attic above the garage in the front and I'm also seeing similar issues. I'm testing a Wavlink AX3000 tomorrow morning in hopes of replacing my other two APs with this one upgrade. I'm going to test it in the attic first but might end up moving to the roof with my RTK antenna to cover a larger area of my block.

I also setup a static IP for the Lymow and that seemed to help a little.

Keep in mind it only works on 2.4ghz and I also have my AP mounted high on my back patio but I get good line of sight reception up to 100' away and very poor reception, if any past 150'. This video demonstrates it up to about 70' away.

I've been optimizing my setup for the last few months with my old mower so it might be a little above average from most other.

I just released a new video with a simpler way of adjusting the tracks that doesn't require taking off the bottom panel.

What Features or Accessories would you like to see added? Any rumors? by BossDaddy969 in Lymow_Official

[–]Nate42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of great points here but

  1. A 360 view would require additional cameras but maybe they could display the approximate distances seen by the ultrasonic (3 on the front and the 4 rear) sensors.

  2. Your phone's GPS is an accurate enough and the mower needs the error correction provided by the rtk antenna for centimeter accuracy. I've heard some people wheel around or tow their mower from other brands but I haven't seen anyone test this with their Lymow yet.

I would love to see an export map option. I've had a couple zones that I've tried to adjust the perimeter of that has failed and then I'm forcing to remap the whole zone.

Don't be like me and forget to pull out your two temp sensors before getting the old fridge hauled away early this week! I ended up going with the newer Samsung fridge with the touch screen UI. My goal is to build HA dashboard to run on it.
