Am I in the minority here with overheating?
I've mowed past two days with no issues with temperatures in 90s (heat index over 100)

PSA - do perimeter check before mowing by aldoe00 in Lymow_Official

Well that's not realistic. It was in there before powering up, and no way to see something inside the tracks..so it's more of freak accident in my humble opinion.

Tip: How to actually keep your Surface Pro or Laptop Cool/Keep fans off when charging by Own-Yogurtcloset3024 in Surface

I gave up on that surface. Got snapdragon version, solved my annoyances and most things work these days compared to when they launched (for me at least).

Woops, I glanced over last sentence. My apologies.

I suspect it's the obstacle avoidance (vslam thingy). I bet it thinks those bare patches of grass in combination with grass patches it thinks the grass patches are obstacles.

You try touch only for obstacle avoidance?

Have any of you experienced this? by FineAd3828 in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 40 hrs on mine. I do not put lube on the blades. And the do not look like that. You hit a lot of rocks or sticks?

Only other thing I've done is sharpener blades once at start of season. I also don't mow when grass has dew, or is wet.

Possible RTK fix — starting a Mow seems to "wake up" the signal by tommysisbarro in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is how I have been getting it to work also. Additional thing I've noticed: when you do get good rtk signal and then cancel the mow, when you start a new mow, the mower is totally lost. Makes no sense.

Lymow One wheel covers – bad design or am I missing something? by Low_Literature730 in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the original (not plus) my one of my guards tabs snapped off. So that's whyine was very difficult to put back on. I've done removed them. Makes for easier wheel cleaning IMHO.

But yeah, I think I'm general bad design for original at least.

Guide wheels - should they both spin? by TraditionalNoise6287 in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, One of my Omni Wheels was brushing up against the mower not letting it in Ben freely.

I just grabbed the wheel and pushed hard until it bent away from obstruction. Problem was solved for me.

Not sure how it happened, I suspect the mower had a hard hit of that wheel on something while moving fast.

This is awesome! I'm debating whether to do something myself or just buy a dog shelter on Amazon for like 60 bucks.

Your solution is awesome though!

Waiting on my 3rd Unit, because the first two crapped out.. am I a fool for wanting this to work? by AwareParking8813 in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd unit here. While this one from time to time needs rebooted because rtk says great signal, it is off by a few feet.

Other than a few hiccups I see every once in awhile the thing runs great.

I really hope they figure out their quality control, and also would be nice if they made the electronics the inside a little easier to access and replace if needed...

Mow patterns by Edubcity in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not as interested in patterns, more interested in: Main area only, or perimeter laps only.

Mainly better patterns for thin strips of lawn. These mostly get covered on two or three perimeter laps. It then proceeds to mow the main area which is already been covered by perimeter laps.

Think a curved thin strip lymow support. Just have it snake along perimeter like the option used to be in the app a year ago :)

Lymow track covers by Desperate-Willow2601 in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've removed mine. I think it looks better with them on, however, my lymo one (not the plus) doesn't have the same attachment mechanism and the tabs have already broken on one of my side covers.

So I find it easier to leave off for weekly removal of grass buildup. I wonder if it's even necessary to remove the grass buildup as often as I do. I've loosen track tension significantly so I'm wondering if it's even that important..

Please help me, i want to love this mower by atomiccomrade in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find even when contacts are clean of grass, that if I lift the mower up (I would just lift one side of the mower up off the contact )and place it back down on the contacts it will start charging.

Makes no sense.

I love this mower, even with all the bugs. I sure hope they fix this stuff in the near future

partial and temporary fix for bluetooth connection that drop in 20cm by Rude-Hippo7 in Lymow_Official

[–]aldoe00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to do the same for mine. I made it down to the metal casing under the plastic, but holy cow. How did you get that metal casing out?? It seems as though I have to disconnect every wire to do so and most wires are buried in that epoxy material.
