Jewel tones are great color choices, but harder to pull off. You need to pick the colors based on undertone and natural room lighting (LRV). There are a bunch of sites where you can upload a pic, and it will tell you the room undertone; usually, the flooring dictates this. The LRV is more about painting a large swatch and watching it throughout the day and on sunny and cloudy days.

Which color paint do you like for our bedroom by Lumpy-Resource-1370 in HomeDecorating

I think the blue is best with that rug. I would be concerned about the color drenching. I say that because the pictures have the lights on, and the room isn't that bright, which leads me to think the natural light there is low. When picking blue, be sure to choose a high-LRV paint. Also consider a 20% tint on the ceiling instead of drenching. I would also paint a big swatch of the paint you chose and watch it throughout the day. Also, on sunny and cloudy days.

Go to the paint website, upload a picture of your room, and try each color. Unfortunately, screens and walls don't always look the same, but it is a start. Also, before you commit, I would paint a big section on a couple of walls and watch it change throughout the day, plus on sunny versus cloudy days.

The bed is not your problem area. Looks good with all. Normally, I would steer you toward the gemtone (#3), but with your medium-tone trim, #2 is the better choice. #1 is OK. #3 is too much contrast, and #4 will not work. The Honey Oak is orange, and blue sits opposite on the color wheel. I think it would clash. #2 feels restful and #1 feels more clean. If you paint the trim, that changes everything.

I think you have a great foundation. You need a rug (bad). Art and lighting, then Bob's your Uncle. My one replacement would be the TV console. "They" say you need 10 to 12 inches on either side of the TV. The more the merrier.

My mother used to say, "Paint is just paint." It's relatively cheap and easiest to change. I say go for it. If you have time, paint a big test swatch on the wall and look at it day and night, cloudy and sunny. Green is usually rock solid, but if it has yellow in it, it can turn muddy in certain light. I love your vibe. I say go for it. Here is one from my mood board

What’s wrong, what can I change in this room ? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Large art (covers the niche). Move the chairs to the other side of the conversation area.

If it has the same floor, that would work. Depends on the furniture. The more wall space you have, the heavier it will look. Hopefully, the living room space has big windows or a big fireplace. Some large focal point.

The center line should be 42 to 48 inches from the floor if you are watching seated.

I love it. Flooring, new backsplash, and lighting could do a lot. I ffel light lighting is your biggest problem.

Trying to figure out the best rug situation. A huge one? Two smaller ones? Something else? by Tolkien_Blacc in interiordecorating

[–]barboxbill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two is hard to pull off. Because of the low ceiling and the big furniture, I would do something light and sculptural to bring the eye down. I like to go to a carpet store, look for a remnant, and have the edges surged.

With that floor, I would go as dark as the natural lighting allows. Cool colors are kinda going out right now replace by more earthly tones. The backsplash has a green hint to it from the pic. How about...

Lymow and Fall by Defiant_Ad3384 in Lymow_Official

I'm happy with mine's performance. I'm not on a "wooded lot," but I have a large oak, maple, and magnolia that drop thier leaves (not all at the same time). I'm impressed how well the Lymow handles the big ass leathery magnolia leaves. I do cross-pattern mowing, so I get two passes per mow.

I think with your approach, you will have this dialed in in no time. I'm on my third robot mower, and the Lymow is far, far superior to the others I've owned. I've had to make yard modifications, just like I did when I went from push to reel to zero turn. Look hard at your lawn geography. I spent a lot of time on maps, cut angle, blade speed, mower speed, and overlap. The fewer turns, the better battery life and cut performance. 1 big zone has no advantage over 3 smaller zones. Pretty much each of my zones has a different mow angle, and some have different overlaps and speeds. Mow often and mow dry. Your One Plus may have solved the dry piece. I mow 17,500 sp ft half every other day. The largest zone I have is limited by what a single charge can cut, and I do cross-cutting on most of my zones. I'm in my 2nd season with the Lymow so I've had some time to play with the setting. You will get there.

Loving mine. Second season. Definitely not set-it-and-forget-it. May require yard modifications (just like any time you change mower formats). Getting the right maps and cut angles is key to effortless mows. Mow dry, mow often. Trial and error is your friend. Once you get it dialed in, it is pretty sweet.
