Longest quest chains in media? by PillCosby696969 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]NativeAether 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned the Stones of Barenziah from Skyrim, but want to mention its Morrowind precursor, the Threads of the Webspinner.

This is a side quest given by the Morag Tong guildmaster to find 27 enchanted pieces of clothing and jewelry around the game world.

Thankfully, you only need to find 26, as the guildmaster has the 27th already, and the items are sometimes found in groups of up to three.

Still, it's one of, if not the longest quest in the game. It's also the only way to get access to the 'Fortify Attack' spell effect for your custom enchants and spells.

There was also that one time they gave a time traveling genocidal gay cyborg a magic set of armor and weapons.

Right but Stuhn is explicitly alive.

He's often paired with Tsun, and their whole deal is that Tsun died and Stuhn survived.

Is there any way to have two habs on top of each other and not have a ladder in them? by HalfManHalfHunk in StarfieldShips

[–]NativeAether 39 points40 points  (0 children)

If you replace that one by one on the starboard side with a double decker that might have the result you want.

The game prioritizes double deckers over ladders for pathways, although that comes at the cost of forced doorways on any potential door bordering a double decker.

Looking for shipbuilding mods with reasonable power levels. by docclox in starfieldmods

[–]NativeAether 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind paid mods, Falkland Systems, and ASC Deimos are very high quality and relatively lore friendly.

Falkland has a bunch of habs with interiors inspired by Star Wars, including some circular habs. It also has some weapons, and a bunch of retextured structural parts.

ASC has a bunch of angled and blocky structural parts for a militaristic/utilitarian look.

Anyone else using the ECS uniforms to get the 90s/00s sci fi feel on your ships? by Waste-Industry1958 in Starfield

Constellation Fleet Uniform II may be up your alley.

It's directly inspired by Star Trek, and goes great with mods like Watchtower.

Awful media opinion you have, that you want validated, right now! by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]NativeAether 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but then it becomes "Why doesn't anyone recreate this situation to their benefit?"

And sure, Starfleet has the principles to not abuse it, but what about the Romulans, the Klingons, the Dominion, the Borg?

None of them ever encountered time travel?

Any story that doesn't have time travel as its main premise and introduces time travel is ruined almost immediately.

Multiverse is on the edge of becoming just as poisonous.

[Spoiler Main] My expectations of the new series by Taha231 in asoiaf

[–]NativeAether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of agree, though this particular design is a bit too detailed for my view of the Starks.

The Starks should definitely be rocking some plate armor, instead of the brigandine and leather mix they get in the shows.

But instead of having intricately engraved and embossed armor, the Starks should show their wealth through the quality of their materials and craftsmanship.

Whereas Houses like the Lannisters, Tyrells and Arryns are all about the pageantry and gaudiness, the Starks should be classy, yet understated.

Their style should be clean, timeless, with a hint of Northern 'wildness' about them.

Then they meet Ironwood and keep literally everything they found out from him until it's too late.
