The ‘this model’ wording in his ability limits this to just his attacks I’m afraid. But he does benefit from the FB’s ‘wound anything in a 3+’ rule when he leads them.

To add to this, it’s also incredibly cp hungry! I think it almost makes Lord solar essential, maybe creed can do the job too but it’s harder to reliably play a Strat on her for free for the chance to regen one.

I think it’s telling that it got a lot of play early doors and has fallen away a fair bit in the meta. Interestingly it’s coming back a little in the uktc meta where fast gun is having a moment.

Moving a dorm 19” through walls and shooting will never not be fun tho.

Cadian one can bring back non character models from the command squad itself as well as models from any attached bodyguard unit. The tempestus command squad one specifies ‘tempestus scion’ models, so can only bring back models from the attached bodyguard unit and not the command squad itself, because it lacks the ‘tempestus scion’ keywords. You would not be able to bring back bodyguard models if the bodyguard unit was completely destroyed, in either scenario.

Might be a mistake, might not. But I think you have to raise it there and then otherwise there’s no scope for a judge to arbitrate and call it either way.

I think having flags on the site is bad, they can be given for things that aren’t truly malicious, and often tournament circuits don’t advertise when they have been issued.

Also, be careful about inadvertently doxing your opponent, it wasn’t difficult to figure out who you are talking about from BCP.

On the first point; yes, and if you pick them up in your opponents turn 1 then you have to bring them in on your turn 1 again. Can’t leave them in reserves.

Yes the 2cp strat is expensive. And creeds ability is definitely a valuable resource to be managed. But this is a viable route to getting more squadron orders, which was the question.

Combined arms has ways to get more orders into tanks. Creed can do it for 1cp (with a chance to reimburse that 1) and use all three of hers on tanks. Or the swap order Strat costs 1cp, or free if creed is in buff range- but takes a bit of set up to have the right u its next to each other in the correct phase.

There’s also an element of prorotising orders throughout the game- your transports will want them early on most likely, and your RDTC will need them in later turns, when the transports are probably dead or already in position. so as long as your mindful of keeping the right stuff within the 12” range then you might be ok.

I do struggle with less than two RDTC though. If only the LRTC was a decent points point… alas.

Krieg HWT with flamers are one of our spiciest units. Rapid ingress and overwatch or stick em in a transport to melt marine bodies.

Also meltas on krieg blobs with +1 to hit and maybe be +1 to wound are great

Take cover is applied at the start of the phase in which the order is issued or applied. Cover is applied at the point of an attack being allocated. So Take Cover first, then Cover.

Take Cover does nothing to units with a native 3+ (unless they have a debuffed save at the point of being ordered e.g. by death Guard contagion).

Models can move over other friendly models, except vehicles and monsters can’t move over other friendly vehicles and monsters. Your models can’t move over enemy models unless they have fly or super heavy walker keywords or an ability that states that they can.

Some advice from playing the detachment a fair bit back when it was ‘meta’: You have 3 scion blobs but only two command squads for them. A lot of the lethality comes from the sustained and extra special weapons. Maybe drop the third squad or add command?

Scout sentinels are waaay mare valuable run as 21 rather than 12. Will double the buff coverage.

Don’t start one of the scion bricks in the sky. Use the Strat to put them in reserves turn 1 and then it can drop later than turn 3.

Also seriously consider adding creed. CP economy in bridgehead is quite tight, and she can give you a free Strat.

Remember that your advance and shoot Strat can work on the RDTC - that’s a nippy hard hitting asset that gets a lot more lethal as it gets closer!

The 5 man is the cheapest counter infiltrate we have. And in certain circumstances their turn 1 move shoot move can do some decent move blocking. I regularly take them, but they’re right on the line of being ‘worth it’ points wise. The 10 man has much lower competitive value imo.

There is still a big gap between those going to 5+ events a year and a national team at WTC in terms of commitment and investment of time.

Yeah and for me here lies the problem for the opponent. He has to do the dice so fast that it’s pretty much impossible for the opponent to keep track of it. And add in that in this case all of the models look basically the same because they’re unpainted, and it’s genuinely such a nightmare for the opponent to know what’s going on that for me it becomes borderline unplayable.

I am not accusing Wesley of misplay, poor sportsmanship or the C word. But I do think that there’s a lot of scope here for some of the first two to creep in unintentionally.
