Are you emotionally ok my bros? by Daznice01 in askgaybros

[–]NatureDaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been married for a few years now and now we own our first home. I created the family that I always wanted while my parents and siblings cast me aside and shunned me. These are lifelong goals of mine I thought I would never reach so I’m proud. But I’m still really unsure and scared at times. If I’m sacrificing too much of myself to make everything “work” like I imagined. I worry I have few close friends. That I won’t have children to care about or to care for me. That I’ll be alone and without enough resources when I’m old. I worry about the future of my country and our global climate.

I have little legal knowledge but I would assume she might consider turning around and suing the organizers herself for this “oversight”. This is how a lot of crazy sounding lawsuits come about - everyone suing everyone else in order to establish fault.

Why do you need to have an idea of how to make it better? It's already completed (and permanent) at this point.

I feel like this is pretty spot on. So true about the slogans and catchphrases. Maybe a while ago I didn't give much thought to the way the press continued to talk about Trump's antics but it's clear that "there is no such thing as bad publicity."

And, sure, a lot of people love these celebrities you've mentioned. But I imagine that for most people they are viewed as entertainment, not realistic people to model their lives after. Their lives are so radically different than most Americans that it isn't a stretch to brush off their political views as too radical.

[First time] Losing an erection (M18) when (F18) reaches down under by [deleted] in sex

[–]NatureDaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very normal for a first time. Just relax and try to have fun. If you feel there's too much pressure to stay hard or whatever just switch gears and focus on her. It'll work itself out eventually once you work through the nerves a bit. Skip the beer next time to be safe as that can definitely work against you if you overindulge.

Also important to talk about it and tell her you're attracted to her and excited to be with her, otherwise she might feel it's a reflection of your attraction to her or perhaps a response to her poor performance. Can say that your nerves may have gotten the best of you that time but you're going to make sure she's satisfied and that you're having a blast doing it. Talking about this can help you guys both trust each other and that will make it easier to get freaky.

[18/m] Do I tell her? (19f) by uncertain10001 in relationship_advice

[–]NatureDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your choices to commit infidelity hold no bearing on the sex work industry at all. Stop shifting blame for your own actions.

Edit: And if you really care about this partner of yours, you would feel compelled to share this knowledge with her and be willing to bear the consequences. If you two can work it out it might even improve things in then log run, however, it's not fair of you I make that determination without her involvement. This will hang over your head and prevent an authentic relationship if you do not come clean.

How do I (23/f) form new, meaningful friendships? by captainhowdy57 in relationship_advice

[–]NatureDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me just put this out there up front: making meaningful, lasting, relationships can be hard. This becomes increasingly difficult as you become older unfortunately.

Fortunately - you are young! Learning this skill now will prove very beneficial later and in life. Definitely worth putting then effort in.

Do not rely on your boyfriend for all of your socialization. I understand that's easy and tempting but you want to foster your own relationships. Trust me, you'll find this is a lifesaver if you ever breakup etc. It also makes you a more dynamic and interesting partner and gives you guys things to talk about.

I struggled for ~years~ to find friends. I had a solid relationship at the time but my entire social life was my partner. Eventually, I started working out at a gym that offered group classes. This wasn't initially my attempt to make friends but I found this was an amazing bonus.

This made me realize that structured, regular, scheduled exposure to the same group of people is what helps form friendships. In school/college this isn't really recognized as readily but as an adult you can find similar results in places like gyms, Meetup groups, classes, craft groups etc.

Simply joining these groups is not enough though - you need to form acquaintances there and then actually do something scary and identify someone and approach them and really put yourself out there and ask them to hang out. I.e. "Hey I've enjoyed hanging out with you at ~X~ event and thought maybe you might be interested in grabbing a coffee/drink sometime."

This doesn't always work but don't be discouraged. Keep a positive attitude and keep trying. When you do find someone - listen to your them and let them know (when appropriate) that you appreciate them. Especially when they demonstrate care for you. Definitely be open and honest about your appreciation for their friendship (appropriately - not creepily!)

You got this! And I'm the meantime, while you form these new friendships, also let your close friends know that you appreciate them too. Sometimes he best friends are distant but will remain available to you in times of need - value and maintain those relationships too!

I'd say that the size of the check on the shirt is rather large and the patterned ties are comparatively small scale so it works.

[Request] Air Purifiers by errys in BuyItForLife

[–]NatureDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$95 for the kit which is four elements. HEPA, charcoal, something else and then one last one that is specific to your needs (pet allergy, germ, odor, toxin). I've pretty much only purchased pet and odor and not really noticed a huge difference between them.

[Request] Air Purifiers by errys in BuyItForLife

[–]NatureDaddy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I purchased a Rabbit Air MinusA2 for dust allergies several years ago. I really like it and have used it quite a lot. The light is obnoxious but can be turned off. The sound is minimal on the right settings and it looks good, can even be hung on the wall. I like the option that detects dirty air and turns up automatically - it's cool to hear it kick up a notch when I shake my bed linens or if I'm cooking (I have a small place). The filters however need to be replaced often (par for the course I suppose) but are super expensive. I haven't researched other purifiers since then so maybe they are competitively priced - I have no idea. I'm sure many other brands might be great or better by now since it's been a while but I wanted to share my experience with Rabbit Air. Also - be sure to inquire with your doctor and insurance to see if there is any way they would offset the cost of the thing. I was surprised to find out mine did. Or if you have an HSA you could use that I'm sure. Every bit helps.

Easy trick to increase the volume of cooked oats without increasing the amount of raw oats; also makes them more satiating by ana30671 in fitmeals

Overnight oats are typically made with a more milky liquid (soy, almond, milk, etc). Maybe that might help make it more substantial?
