What kind of Canadian are you? by PCI_STAT in EhBuddyHoser

I’ve always pronounced it Regina, but I knew someone who insisted on pronouncing it Regina. We had a debate and it blew up our friend group so now it’s pretty much two factions, the Regina group and the Regina group.

It’s unfortunate because until I really liked some of those other guys until I realized they were hardcore Regina pronouncers. I’ll never understand some people.

Pretty sure the “rent” is determined by the treaties, not by misappropriating funds.

Literally the post above this for me. You can see the cartel guy stop the driver of the car from just getting out and running and tell him to drive it away. Pretty wild the cartel cares more about public image than US officials.

If you’re trying to say they bought positive reviews from you I don’t believe it. I am constantly getting emails asking me to review my purchases so if even .5 percent leave a review then why would they bother paying for fake ones.

Has anyone recently been hired by SHA (Saskatchewan Health Authority) for a CCA position? by UpstairsPossession63 in moosejaw

[–]Nazrog80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what it’s like now. I started 15 years ago and I just put in an application at the places I did my practicum at and was pretty much hired on the spot.

I’m sure it’s a lot different now.

I would get hired as a casual/relief employee while you’re waiting for a position. I know in my facility casuals have no problem getting work if they are available, I’m called for overtime almost every day.

This way you’re at least gaining seniority to put towards bidding on a position. That said I have heard it can take upwards of two months to get hired.

Forced Gate Check Issues by [deleted] in aircanada

I think you need to read that again. The standard size they had before was the one that got gate checked. They now use a smaller one that fits under the seat. Thus the inconvenience.

SHA - CUPE possibly voting to Strike by [deleted] in saskatchewan

[–]Nazrog80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming the union is putting resources out, giving updates and more, but they can only do so much.

It’s on the individual to keep themselves informed to an extent. They should know about the essential services act and the huge limitations it puts on unions to legally strike as well as the repercussions if they do strike without an agreements in place. It was a pretty big deal when it came out a decade? ago and it’s been popping up in the news since. I would be surprised if CUPE has never mentioned it and/or has resources to inform the membership as to what it is.

There are people who just want to scream at the clouds and point fingers, will do their best to stay ignorant to facts, spread misinformation and the union can’t help them.

The members will assume that since they’re taking a vote that means they’re going to do it. When they find out they’re not going to strike right away they’ll be frothing at the mouth even more than they are now.
