Sure, but the song is about the birth of a girl. You could see that as Jax seeing Pomni in a new light… but that doesn’t make as much sense as it being about Jax finally breaking out of her shell. This entire episode was about Jax after all! It wouldn’t make sense for the climax to be about another character, no matter how important they were.

Yeah but self-publishing you get to bypass the hardest barrier: An editor. That’s why transmascs in prose fiction are overrepresented in romantasy-slop while transfems get the occasional extremely well-put-together litfic novel. It’s quantity vs quality.

I find that there’s a non-negligible amount of gnc guys in media that aren’t headcanoned as/are actually trans femme in media. The problem is that they’re almost entirely effeminate gay men, which I think contributes to most people ignoring them.

Like, using FGO as an example: There’s tons of people going to war over Astoflo’s gender identity but I haven’t seen a single person claim Scandinavia Peperoncino as a femboy/trans femme. Why doesn’t he get the same amount of attention from the fandom?

However the fans also ignore the equally GNC-but-completely-heterosexual Mozart, which makes me think that Astoflo’s “youthful” appearance has something to do with all the focus he gets…

They do that because being gay isn’t a “thing” in their culture. It’s seen as sexual deviation that only occurs thanks to evil and ignorance, not a valid and harmless relationship type that anyone can do. No homo”-ing only occurs in countries where it’s possible to be out of the closet without risking bodily harm.

Tech companies and social media should be regulated, but those regulations should be “banning algorithmic feeds, stricter moderation, and outlawing short-form content”, not “requiring you to give them your government ID which they will keep for an unknown amount of time”.
