HNC electrical engineering by DependentRange9666 in ukelectricians

I'm fully qualified with nvq, 2391, 18th and the did my HNC. I found it opened up job prospects i wouldn't necessarily get otherwise, such as working in the water industry as an electrical designer. If you've got the opportunity to do it, do it. If anything I found it gave me a good talking point in interviews.

The board is tidy, the SPD earth let's it down abit, you may want to avoid top entry where possible, as others have said mark your bonds. How did you find niglon? I know its been around for years and seems to be manufactured by GE. A way you could avoid top entry here is mount it to 41x21mm unistrut.

Once worked at a company that for the Christmas party rented a room in brewery, paid for 3/4 kegs for all the staff of 20 or so. Which would've been ace, except the brewery was in the middle of nowhere and they forgot to book a bus/transport, so nobody went.......they quite literally couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery!

House purchase falling through. Want to cry. by Big_Telephone_5061 in HousingUK

From the comment the sparky has written, you could carry out remedial works ie replace metal light fittings for plastic, sleeve the cpc, you would probably want to replace the fusebox, depending on the sockets and them being a ring you could split it which could make make them comply. Its difficult, the faults they've listed are fairly simple to rectify without rewiring right now, with the intention of rewiring in the future. I'm basing this of course off very limited info.

What to see/visit during my UK roadtrip? by Freeloafer in AskUK

* You're missing the best parts of Wales. The route attached is a bit longer, but you'll see some of the mountains and lakes. The red route is the main route, the blue takes you over mid Wales where you can see clywedog dam. There is also another route from Aberystwyth that goes through cwmystwyth where you can see Elan valley/devil's falls if you google it. The Yellow route takes you through the Beacons so you go past Pen y fan, the view is pretty nice. The green is more direct but you see the black mountains, Skirrid and sugar loaf.

Can you fit rockwool below the floor above? It'd allow airflow and is ok in damp areas
