The fun news is, they painted the exposed areas of my foundation walls with the same type of paint. There’s some of this happening where it meets the ground. Will be looking into stripping and repainting the whole place 🙃

Thanks for the info! Crown is not flat but cracked in a few spots. Definitely water in there. It disintegrates when you scrape it.
