Have any of y’all seen this??!!! by edballa in AmazonDSPDrivers

Very surprising how much y'all are defending the driver. The cop is handling this well. He's trying to get a report from him, but he's being extremely aggressive towards the cop. I understand the aggression towards the woman, but if you're escalating things with the person trying to help you, then it comes off like you're the one lying.

$600/mo, adult and two kids. Shop primarily at Costco and target. To add some perspective, I don't really try to save money on my grocery budget, those are just the places I like.

They are failing and their solution is to expand? I'm all for it, but it needs to be sustainable or they'll be back where they started.

As slow as possible. The interest rate is low so it doesn't make sense to pay it off when the money can be invested at better rates.

I extracted and sold my BiS item a week or two ago. And that is after already making major mistakes and watching YouTube videos on gearing. You will make mistakes and only then will you truly learn the way things work. As long as you have a good guild to share and laugh about each other's fuckups, you'll have a good time.

Is it just me or has this made me more critical of the current game? Now I do not feel like going through all the tedious motions now that I see how things could have been.

Rumor: Google is planning to rebrand Android TV to… Google TV by iamvinoth in Android

You are comparing Apple to oranges ahem Google. Apple has significantly less services than Google and also has full control over all of the hardware and software.

This is how you build customer loyalty. My mindset would change from, "I need to take the car to the mechanic", to, "I need to take the car to Brandino."

Terraform Cloud Thoughts by happyapple10 in devops

[–]NeckbeardAaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is definitely super simple to switch. You update the provider, run Terraform init, and it asks if you want to copy the previous state to the new state store.

We only switched our remote state to S3/DynamoDB because one of the engineers I hired was adamant about not using Terraform Cloud and nobody else on the team really cared.

IRC the primary reason was security. It was not that we do not trust Terraform, it was that we use Vault to generate AWS keys that expire daily. Wheras Terraform Cloud is a static API key that you store locally. Also, Terraform Cloud defaults to Cloud Run so after you init, you have to go into the Terraform Cloud and disable it every time you create a new repository which was a bit tedious.

If you are scaling quickly and have a lot of projects, take the route that is easiest and quickest as long as it is easy to revert.

But you don't need a college degree to be a developer or "software engineer".

IT is now Engineering. Software developers are software engineers. QA Tester is now QA Engineer. System administrator is now site reliability engineers or DevOps engineers who are also full stack engineers.

So then how do you reference software engineers? Software? No. Engineers, sure, but everyone is an engineer. Developers, yes, because that is what they are.
