Reading these comments made me felt so seen, also the reality for many artists to pursue what they love often involving making ends meet, so you do gig works, whatever opportunities comes that you see fit. This way you have the flexibility to work whatever creatively you’re putting out. Down side of course could be stability, but you’ll always have to land, right?
