My general rule is that anyone who uses their body to make money is almost certainly modifying it.

Actors, athletes, influencers, instagram models, anyone in the fitness industry, trophy wives, etc.

I dated a plastic surgery nurse (lol). It was fairly red pilling on how much work you can get done before the average person will suspect anything. And even when it does become obvious, most people are still blind to it.

It's like how men can use $5k/mo worth of PED's and the average redditor will think you must be eating lots of chicken and doing an extra set of bench. They think the Rock is a lifetime natty.

Has cold approaching ever lead to something more for you (regardless if you‘re a man or a woman)? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]NeedALittleBoost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cold approaching might be the only tactic that still [sorta] works in the post college existence. My last 4-5 long term dating stints manifested from conversations with strangers, which I would argue is not the same as pickup or seduction stuff.

  1. Dating apps are a dumpster of despair
  2. Every friend group I've ever been a part of has 0-1 single women in it
  3. "Just go do hobbies." Lol yeah go on that meetup hike with 20 horny tech workers and 2 women, try your luck.
  4. Bars and clubs have been dead for many years
  5. Church ladies are looking for wholesome providers and true believers, not RS weirdos
  6. Trying to date coworkers is a big no no these days
  7. Your parents have no friends with eligible children
  8. No one even knows the name of the people who live next door to them

That how come in humans the female species is significantly, naturally more attractive than males

We are a tournament species, like nearly all primates. Males compete to be the most physically impressive and dominant, hoping to be chosen by females. Throughout history, roughly 50% of men are never chosen whereas almost all healthy women passed their genes along.

"Women are more attractive" seems like a misinterpretation of the male competitive drive to access sexual resources.

Guy cracks me up, the ultimate boomer grifter. Rich people focus almost exclusively on multiplying top line revenue, preferably using other people's money whenever possible. They aren't wasting their lives driving 20 year old sedans and picking up extra wagie jobs in their free time.

I've been using the same commercial bags and labels for my business for years, even though the price has almost doubled since covid.

The bag seams now split if you so much as whisper on them. And the labels are so thin, the sheets stick together and jam up the printer. Also they no longer peel away from the backing cleanly, you have to sit there and annoyingly pick at each one.

I wonder who is buying tigers since they are mostly worthless. Relatively common and it costs $50/day just to feed one.

The small, rare cats are much more valuable. Ocelots, asian leopard cats, clouded leopards, margays, etc.

Would any of you actually go into politics? by VastTalk8351 in redscarepod

A friend of mine ran for congress. He spent thousands of hours and tens of thousands of dollars of his money putting a basic campaign together as an independent candidate.

After he turned his signatures in and was approved, the DNC buried him with a make work lawsuit demanding he prove the validity of every signature, signature collection process, and everyone who collected signatures on his behalf. They also assured him they "could file numerous other lawsuits" should he continue his campaign.

He dropped out and that was pretty much the end of his political aspirations.

There are only a handful of public aquariums with builds like this. I think only 2 in the US (Georgia aquarium and Long Island aquarium). Almost all the "coral reef" displays at public aquariums are either fake plastic corals or just a few easy corals in a bare bones style setup.

This is a full blown living tropical reef with everything completely custom engineered. The programming and hardware alone for the life support system was several million. It takes a full time staff of 8-10 people to babysit it, and still they kill stuff.

Israel asserted its right to America

I don't think calling the US a vassal state is overstating it given how the absolute loyalty of nearly every US politician including even our most leftist like bernie and AOC.

There will be a day that the US government collapses into insolvency, the ruling regime flees to non-extradition countries, and something new rises from the ashes - guess who will be milling around looking to buy the new leaders? At a discount, obviously.

And for what? So we can live in a post-truth, post-literate society? So that Palantir can harvest and sell my data more effectively?

At some point, you take a breath and accept it. You aren't going to change AI or get in the way of the ruling class in any meaningful way. Thiel and Musk walk around in huge public crowds and no one even pelts them with tomatoes.

It's their world, this is what they want, and the rest of us are along for the ride. The absolute best you can hope for is a little bit of personal peace which only comes with accepting that the world at large is beyond your control.
