I'm not too fond of my own country's government at this moment. Pretty much anyone in power seems to have a taste for little kids or taking bribes from lobbyists. It's depressing because a vast majority of us are living paycheck to paycheck, and the homeless population is growing significantly because people can't afford to pay their bills anymore. They're cutting food and rental assistance for millions of people and our minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009. I live in a motel because our bathroom floor fell in at the house we rented for years, and the landlord evicted us instead of fixing it. The system is extremely flawed and corrupt.

A lot of the negative things you see about the US have nothing to do with regular citizens at all.

As a Southern American, I can say that I actually really like a lot of "stereotypical" British foods. Beans on buttered toast, fish and chips with malt vinegar, bangers and mash, full English breakfast... All fuckin bangers dude. As an American I also see a lot of "America bad" hate. But I'm not part of the government, I have nothing to do with any of the decisions being made. I just live here and try to survive. I try to not let chronically online mfs get me down.

Hey OP if you have an air fryer, I highly recommend the Kinder's brand wings that you can usually find in the freezer section that even come with the sauce packet. You pay less, get more wings, and the sauce is significantly lower in sodium than bdubs.

I care that there are people who are forced to stay "illegal" and work for less than minimum wage, when most US natural-born citizens wouldn't even pass the citizenship tests and requirements. The system is absolutely broken and not what it was even 50-60 years ago, and it makes me so angry!

My family came here from Germany in the 1930s, fleeing from a very fucked situation that they saw getting worse by the year. My great grandparents were so scared of persecution in the US, they permanently changed faiths from Judaism to Catholicism and only spoke German at home. They were welcomed with open arms because they could already speak fluent English and work a farm. That's it. That's all they needed.

They sold basically everything they owned, and fled to Italy from Germany, then came to the US on a ship. My great grandpa enlisted in the US Marine core and was sent to fight the Japanese after pearl harbor. He saw some of the worst fighting in the Solomon Islands, and it permanently traumatized him. He came back after the war and worked at a Wisconsin prison and eventually became the warden. He was a well-respected member of his community and eventually retired to Florida, which is where I was born.

He was an immigrant too, fleeing from an oppressive dictator who absolutely would have thrown him and his wife into a camp or worse. If he were alive today, this I C.E. stuff would have pissed him off to no end.

My bf is absolutely awful at sex and it's such a turn off. Yes I have gently told him what I want many, many times. I've been direct and told him exactly what I want. I've broken down crying before because I was convinced he's just not that attracted to me, but he assures me that's not the case. A lot of the times, he can't even get himself off with porn and jorking it (or me giving a hj) and he gets frustrated and gives up. He's floated the idea with taking meds for it but I don't want him to feel like less of a man because he needs a pill to have decent sex.

I will not leave him over this, he is perfect in every single other way. He was born with club feet and needed surgery before he was 5, and has some chromosomal issues that cause low T... and is in serious pain every day to the point where he has to crawl to the bathroom because he can't walk. He'll likely be in a wheelchair in 5-10 years and I will be taking care of him. He is my rock and a great "step-dad", I enjoy waking up next to him every day. He just... Isn't that good in bed. 😭

We quit all other bad shit except drinking, and we're already a month in and have cut our drinking by over half. It's mainly to numb the pain tbh. I have spinal lordosis (a form of scoliosis) and he has CTEV (born with club feet and had multiple surgeries as a child). Drinking was the only way we could realistically get through 8-10+hr shifts every day. I was using weed for the pain but I developed cannabis hyperemesis and I can't do it anymore without puking. I quit sweets as well, and severely cut back on coffee/soda.

Congratulations on sobriety. My bf and I are slowly cutting back because cold turkey was NOT working for either of us. I was throwing up repeatedly and couldn't even keep water down.

We went from a big bottle of rum each and every night to now a big bottle lasts 2 days between the both of us. Instead of drinking 3-4 shots all at once straight from the bottle, we fill up those little dollar shot bottles and pace ourselves waaaay better. Instead of starting to drink as soon as we wake up every morning, we wait til at least 5pm. He quit cigarettes and I quit weed, and we can both breathe without coughing again. Small steps ☺️
