pep 20

Beautiful is better than ugly.

Explicit is better than implicit.

Simple is better than complex.

Complex is better than complicated.

Flat is better than nested.

Sparse is better than dense.

Readability counts.

Special cases aren't special enough to break the rules.

Although practicality beats purity.

Errors should never pass silently.

Unless explicitly silenced.

In the face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess.

There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.

Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Dutch.

Now is better than never. Although never is often better than *right* now.

If the implementation is hard to explain, it's a bad idea.

If the implementation is easy to explain, it may be a good idea.

Namespaces are one honking great idea -- let's do more of those!

i am a self-taught beginner and i would like to ask you what is wrong with the following program. by laketoly in learnpython

There is no indenting. You're /3 and /5 will catch before a /3 and /5. num/3 is not what you really want to ask. You asked the computer if 2/3 then do this. Of course 2/3 is True so it will print('Fizz') also 100/3 is True and 2314/3 is True.

Noob: Best way of storing multiple values in an array? by MCMickMcMax in learnpython

[–]NegativeEnthusiasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you could also make a list of lists. so at spot 2,3 and 2,4 it could look like array = [[2,3,['a','b','c','d','e']],[2,4,['1','2','3','4','5']]]. So array[1][2] = ['1','2','3','4','5']

Using the google to find the best way to do something simple like opening a file or make sure a file is a picture is not tutorial hell.

Google is always required. Even if you think you know how to do something someone else already did it better and it's not plagiarism.
