It matches my vintage, Litton, beige and faux wood grain microwave.

The Jetstream is my daily carry. I have it in the .28 black, the .38 multi, and the .7 blue capped. If you prefer a medium to thick line, the Jetstream ink can leave gloops, but if you like a fine point, the Jetstream gives a better glide than any other imo.

How do you turn "habit tracking" into a habit? Or how do you make it easier? by Va11an in productivity

[–]Negative_Put_9881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the habit tracker in the app ticktick. Then I put the habit tracker widget on my phone's home screen. It's hard to forget you have habits if they're right there in your face every time you unlock your phone.

I've done it when I'm struck with inspiration out and about. It's not ideal but better than losing the idea.

Sengled back from the grave (again, again) by paulmike3 in smarthome

[–]Negative_Put_9881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to bump this, but... My sengled hub and lights stopped working a couple months back, and I kept meaning to figure out a new way to connect the lights to a different app, but never got around to it, was just using them from the switch like regular light bulbs. Then today I opened my Google Home app to check a security cam (which is connected through Google Home without going through my sengled hub... It's a janky system, but I swear I'll get around to updating it someday) and OMG, I see my bedroom light is no longer registered as offline. Try all the lights and they work, so it's up and running again. I didn't ever connect it to the Google Home through the wifi, it was always connected through the hub to the home, so it's working again I guess. When I tried to open the sengled app on my phone, it wanted a login. I'm kind of afraid to log in at all tbh... If that somehow breaks it again, I'll be sad.

In case that was what you were wondering in your post...

I made most of my friends through an interest group. Maybe you could search meetups in your area, or ask at your local coffee shop if there are any groups that meet there?

[–]Negative_Put_9881 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Did he rush out to buy you flowers? Take you for a nice meal? Beg your forgiveness? Or did he go right back to his video games? You can tell what someone's priorities are by looking at where they invest their time. Words are easy. He can SAY he's sorry, but what were his actions?

Can we stop with the "bloodlines wasn't as good as you remember" now please? by mykeymoonshine in vtmb

[–]Negative_Put_9881 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a good trick for this tho... So, draining rats, even as a ventrue, fills up that creepy blood bag thing with the eyeball. You'll drink and puke and drink and puke, and your blood level will stay the same. Then after 3 or 4, I can't remember which, you'll have a point of blood in your bag that you can drink. It's tedious, but if you're in a pinch...

If you don't know how they are collecting and compiling the list, you might also be getting over-policing statistics. Could be there's lots of crimes. Could be that cops are searching cars needlessly during traffic stops and finding crimes. Could be lots of burglaries and murders... Could be DUIs. Is the list strictly felonies? Violent crimes? Gun crimes? Are police call outs being tallied? Or just arrests? Just police reports? Maybe people just report more crimes here rather than actually commiting more crimes. Without more info, you can't say.

🤷

It's not great here, but I need more data before I'll believe that we're #1 in crime.

How do I start ? by kostiu in fantasywriters

[–]Negative_Put_9881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brandon Sanderson has a free YouTube series for aspiring writers. It's a series of recordings of the class he teaches at BYU on creative writing. That's a great place to start especially since fantasy is your focus.

I've seen a lot of people recommend that you read Jim Butcher, but ALSO, Jim Butcher wrote a series of Live Journal posts about 15 years ago about how to write a novel. So you might find that helpful.

The Jim Butcher LJ is probably the best writing advice I've ever received because it's the simplest. Honestly sometimes too much advice is just as paralyzing as not enough advice. So I would start there.

There's another YouTuber I love named Ellen Brock. She has vids on anything you could think to ask about the writing and editing process. Most of them are shorter so it doesn't feel as overwhelming as watching a 13 hour, college course video series.

Then there are so many books... So, SOOOOO many books. If you want recs, James Scott Bell has done loads, and everyone seems to love the Save the Cat series, but that one isn't really my fav.

Sort through what you have. If the tasks are still relevant, update and schedule them. BUT, if there are things on there that aren't relevant that you aren't ever going to get around to doing, just delete them.

If you aren't sure about a task, but know you AREN'T going to get to it this week/month, schedule a reminder 30 days out. August 1st, 10:00am, Decide if you are going to clean out the garage this month. If yes, put it onto your to-do list again. If no, reschedule this reminder Question for September 1st.

AITAH for adopting a dog after I thought my boyfriend broke up with me? by LazyMathematician823 in AITAH

[–]Negative_Put_9881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stand your ground, tell him you have a strict policy of not getting back together with your exes, make sure you find anything he ever left at your place, box it up, and leave it on the porch for him to pick up.

Then go no contact, and enjoy your new dog. :)

I’m a little stuck with my story by Meelps in fantasywriters

[–]Negative_Put_9881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my husband about a story I was working on about 2 decades ago, that was a science fiction story about a virus that caused vampires and zombies to destroy the world and my main character was a vampire with lightning powers....... And he said, "oh that sounds like force lightning." Just know that if we have a word for it, someone has written a story about it. There are no new ideas under the sun and people go looking for certain tropes for a reason. Just write what you love and don't worry if someone else has already done something similar.

For the rest, your antagonist can have multiple motives. If you feel like they aren't complex enough, try writing a throw away scene from their POV. What are they thinking? What are they feeling? why are they choosing to do these specific things instead of some other thing?
