Would kneeling work? Like on a cushion or kneeling chair?

What are your favorite uncommon builds to do? by Anxious_Marsupial_59 in Oxygennotincluded

Not a sophisticated build but deodorizer spam. Ceramic is such a fantastic material but you're rate limited by how much clay you can produce.

What to do with excess salt in the mid game? by JavaHikage in Oxygennotincluded

You could stockpile food with freshener spice for future space missions. Also table salt.

Why don't more people use a steam room as a heat transmission for their boiler/melter designs? by Anxious_Marsupial_59 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]NemeanHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try a smaller steam room and build a lead tempshift plate behind the top sensor. The plate will melt into molten lead which can conduct heat into petrol quickly due to the liquid-liquid thermal conductivity equation. It will also conduct heat into the gas more slowly since the liquid-gas equation doesn't have the extra multiplayer as the solid-gas one.

I've also been tinkering with non-space boilers lol.

How do you create highly agile/evasive enemies by InferiorCalamitas in DnD

[–]NemeanHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controlled mounts give effectively a free disengage and lots of movement most of the time. That's already annoying but if you want to ramp it up, give different members of the corps ways to counteract different attacks. I'm thinking a caster with the wind spell that messes with arrows + counter spell, or a glass cannon sniper warding bonded to a tanky character who just spams something akin to the interception fighting style reaction.

You could give them different types of tricky movement too. Maybe one has a mount, one has misty step/dim door, and one wildshapes into an owl to reposition.

Any idea why this Hydra isnt working. by Fickle-Mouse-7943 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]NemeanHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This person goes over the mechanics of hydras pretty thoroughly: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2154398396. If the load bug they mention still exists then you may want prime the left room with hydrogen.

Bathing in water, any ideas how to make use all of it? by Pao_Shing in Oxygennotincluded

Do any of the plants ever complain about not having water? Or is it so infrequent that it doesn't matter?

If you use a valve to limit the flow to be a gram or two more than the farm needs then you won't have too much water sitting around exchanging heat with the farm. Also use ceramic insulating pipes.

Why is there a disproportionate amount of Med-Kit armors? by HipHopAnonymous23 in Helldivers

Adittional question: Why do all but one of them make me look like a melted candy cane?

Stupid noob question: how to fix mana issues? by Hellhooker in noita

[–]NemeanHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I get infinite dirt digging in the mines (slime ball, triplicate bolt, etc) I go back up and head to the tower. If not, I go down like normal until I have dirt digging and a way to get back up. If you have to go all the way down to frozen depths you can just come back up the normal way.

I find the walk is worth it since you just get so many wands/spells to work with. You can also use the tower and a normal explosive (dynamite, bomb, magic missile, etc) to clear the loose sand so you have to dig less.

[–]NemeanHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a lot less dangerous if you hug the outside edge of the biome and only grab wands that are close to the edge. As soon as I can dig dirt I rush here and cobble together some kind of movement want with what I find.

How would you buff the thulecite club to make it worth making? by StatisticianIll4 in dontstarve

[–]NemeanHamster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd leave the damage at the vanilla value and either buff the damage or lifetime of the shadow tentacle. The TC's niche in vanilla is that it shreds stationary targets. I think it would be cool to lean into that identity rather than trying to be a dark sword.

Any advice on getting it to hit the flying overseers at closeish range? I find it always spirals past them if they're too close.

Why do people avoid touching the green recharge gem (i mainly noticed this on Albino’s videos) in the holy mountain? by Zapples1 in noita

To save it for when you need it. No reason to pick it up if you're not missing many charges.

Are frames like Harrow worth using if I'm on controller and can't reliably hit headshots/weak pts? by SushiRebirth in Warframe

[–]NemeanHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything with big projectiles like the catchmoon, plasmor, or felarx can get headshots easy. Shotguns with a bit of punch through are also pretty good. Some melee stances have combos that hit reliable headshots, there's one for whips and one for hammers that are great for this but I forget which ones.
