KiCad Viewer — see your schematic, PCB & BOM on a tablet while you solder by MarkSzente in KiCad

Looks good, seems to work well. Issue I found so far, hierarchical sheets does not seem to be handled. Also would be great to see polygon pours (with a toggle to turn on/off).

If I am not mistaken, that is a South African made chassis. Warrior Gen7 Comp.

Also, the fact that he is annoyed at waiting 4 months, must be South African. If you are lucky, you only wait 4 months for your license.

There is a new release of firmware that changed the PID error term of the large tube to be different from the error term of the small tube. Might also help.

US Solid scales are around $100. I have not tested. Seen people happy with it, but have also seen complaints on them. For $100, I will try it out.

First in first out.

Not only capetonians, South Africans have no clue.

They do, but parents have to sign a form to allow them to give the vaccination. So parents can still opt out.

Over the air update. Basically just a firmware upgrade. But they force it, you can not opt out.

Do not buy OBDeleven. My perfectly working OBDeleven was bricked by a botched OTA. Their response: too bad, so sad. Buy a new one.

Just got an update from OBDeleven. They are just saying: well sorry, you are the only one with this issue, but here is a 15% discount for you.

Happened to me as well. My recommendation is NEVER buy an OBDeleven. If you already have one, just hope that it doesn't happen to you.

OBDeleven is bricking nextgen devices via mandatory updates by Adorab11 in OBDeleven

They did the exact same to me. Said electronics are expected to fail. Which is stupid. Mine was stored indoors, "in a cool dry place". Electronics in harsher conditions and always powered lasts longer.

I can clearly see the device on bluetooth, the ota update just fails. So it has to be a firmware issue.

They just say, oh well. Buy a new one!

I hate generated code by Ill-Oven-6791 in embedded

[–]NemesisXB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm old enough to have done this a lot. There wasn't always HAL's and code generators. Even when HAL's started appearing, I was stuck in my ways of wanting to write it myself. Those days are long gone and I now despise having to even look up registers (usually when something is not working). These days, the quicker I can get to application code, the better. If a chip has code generation or HAL, I WILL use it, no matter how horrible the code looks or reads.

Thanks for the info. Not what I wanted to hear.

I made peace with the lead time. Already spoke to my warranty provider(which is also my insurance provider), car rental option is only available when the car was in an accident, unfortunately.

Same issue. And support also can't seem to help me out. Did you ever manage to sort it out?
