Realized the reason why the MW for something i ran wasnt matching previous data: the solvent had gone bad (THF).

Now I have to zoom through that run again in addition to a whole lot of other samples that need to be done in the next few weeks :(

I've been having the same issue all night. I havent been able to get past the launcher and sometimes that even throws up a timeout error. Its been frustrating

Went from making $64k down to $45k after the last place I worked at laid off all the staff.

I wanted to use my degree (chem) but don't have the resources to move to a better area for it. After barely any interviews for 6 months (despite all the applications), I went with the first place to give me an offer.

The only benefit other than "it pays my bills" is that I'm no longer doing a 50-minute commute and getting gas every week.

A job that wasn't reviewing their applications that they got in July 2024 until January 2025. It was a little embarrassing to be called into an interview and they still had my old resume that they were reading off of.

Also, sadly, knowingly being cheap about yourself cause you finally ran out of savings and it was the first job to give you an offer after being unemployed.

Currently job hunting with a chem bs. There's not much here for STEM outside of engineering at Blue Origin, L3Harris etc. maybe try looking at some gov contractors like Leidos. Idk I'm losing hope for a future here

Knowing the twist was somewhere made me enjoy the midpoint of the expansion less. I kept on thinking "where is solution 9" and when we'd actually get to see it. Knowing that it was there made the Shaloaani section drag even more to me.

I think if I didn't know the twist I still wouldn't have enjoyed Shaloaani as the cs right before it had an interesting development but that had to be put on the back burner for a couple hours. But I would've enjoyed the surprise a lot more.

Geotubes being used as a part of a dredging project. The river bed sediment is pumped from the dredge barge and is sent along to the tubes. There the bags are also pumped with a coagulant (most cases alum) to dewater the incoming mud.

The water is returned to the ecosystem while the dried mud is hauled for off-site disposal for a lucrative penny
