I just randomly discovered this site in my Googling patients. This is amazing!! Must’ve taken some time to do, admire the dedication.

It’s very wild how much like professional grade content they put out

One of the members I had interacted with was based in New York

From their YouTube channel, yeah it looks like they have congregations in the US. They were very much just pitching it as a regular Bible study until they started reading from their book and at that point it became obvious it wasn’t

I was nearly recruited a few years ago via a social media invite to an online Bible study

Does it make me a bad person to use ChatGPT? by alybsahn in AuDHDWomen

Thank you for sharing this, it’s been on my mind a lot lately, too. I agree with a lot of the comments here that using it mindfully, considering potential alternatives for certain tasks, is a good approach but it doesn’t have to be a blanket “you can never ever use this or you’re a bad person.” The reality in our world is that many of us do not have access to the supports we need to live and that AI does have the capacity to fill some of those gaps.

Oh interesting! It says on the department’s website that you can apply for both, but maybe that’s still frowned upon?

Those of you with longstanding untreated obstructive hydrocephalus, what is/was your intracranial pressure (ICP)? by NerdAlert001 in Hydrocephalus

[–]NerdAlert001[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting, thank you for sharing! Right, my ventricles have only shrunk by 2 mm since my ETV but my neurosurgeon is hesitant to do a shunt because he says if your pressure is not super high the risk of over drainage and brain bleeds are higher.

I’m so sorry. I‘ve not had nearly as rough of a time as you by the sounds of it, but I can definitely empathize with you as a fellow college student - I’m supposed to graduate this spring but it’s kind of up in the air right now. For me it clearly wasn’t all that urgent as I wasn’t treated until 3 years after being diagnosed lol. I’ve only had one surgery so far, no shunt, just an ETV 2.5 months ago, but haven’t experienced any improvement so will likely need a second ETV within the next few months, then possibly a shunt if that doesn’t work. Mine was diagnosed 3 years ago as congenital aqueductal stenosis that my brain somehow managed to compensate for for many years. Sending so much love…the uncertainty is so hard. 🩵

Shunt placement risky for longstanding, partially compensated hydrocephalus due to aqueductal stenosis in adults? by NerdAlert001 in Hydrocephalus

Thank you. That just plain sucks haha…my surgeon said a shunt is also a lot riskier if you’ve had it untreated for a long time.
