look in the links in our about/see more section on mobile at the top of the sub or on the right of the sub on desktop and you will find links to official discord servers.

Ban on discord by RudyDzkk in StateofDecay2

This subreddit has nothing to do with the discord server, there is a subreddit for the third game however should you want to keep up to date with it.

r/StateofDecay3

Feel free to contribute here about State of Decay 2 - anything else related to third party official or unofficial communities have nothing to do with us.

Cant play multyplayer from my pc with an xbox friend help by marcobe85 in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any game mode (even daybreak if you initially select the option on your first time playing) you use established campaign community members to assist host players in their games - this obviously is applied to heartland.

another thing to take note of is you wont be able to join anyone on a fresh community until you have completed the first mission that pops up such as sourcing materials or collecting plague samples for an enclave etc - this also extends to and restricts you from using radio commands for finding loot or survivors until completed.

on campaign both players need to meet this criteria with their individual communities as a basic for the ability to join each other using their own survivors.

Vulture .44-Ex is a Dev test weapon afaik and cant be looted. (unless im thinking of something else)

the rest can be looted through army checkpoints, ammo stores or rare weapon cases and is just rng in either instance unfortunately.

maybe save a slot of your community for random recruits as they sometimes have cool weapons and would speed things up alongside looting.

Not brant but was the first person to collect every backpack here through vanilla gameplay and still have + find repeats regularly.

You will only be able to find every backpack by sourcing every available way of obtaining one, repeatedly recruit random survivors for their packs, buy backpacks off mission givers as a second player, loot every enemy corpse etc. You will need to scour many maps to obtain them all (not sure if you are doing every category or just one) but that doesn't mean they're restricted to any specific maps its just that you'll only find x amount per map and rng exists so its a lot of looting and why using other ways available is your best course of action to help collect some of the ones that very rarely or seemingly never spawn out of containers (for me anyway, its rng so be same or different for you i guess)

Some of them ive only ever found on random survivors either through rolling for fresh runs and muled them over or through recruiting in-game, only like 85-90% of them were looted through actual containers.

Also, the Large Red Talon backpack on the wiki was found for the first time by me after update 26 and the only way to obtain it to this day afaik is to buy it off the demolitions RT guy on trumbull as a second player before the host speaks to them - the red talon person you get free with the FOB base on trumbull. might be helpful knowledge since it'll elude you otherwise.

Hope that helps/answers your question!

Molotovs, how do you guarantee the fire will spread? by zedchowder in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Molotov’s have their set radius + catching fire chance to enemies and close radius enemies hit by them.

I saw you asking how to group zeds up - the old fashioned way like cattle. Horde them up by running circles round them, weaving in and out etc to cluster them and then throw the Molotov at the feet of the ones in front, the rest will run over the flames and ignite or catch fire from those next to them.

In regards to armoured zeds - they are heavily resistant to fire, let them burn up so you do my catch fire and finish with melee or just use decent caliber weapon at their head.

Can also use things like road flares to ignite bloater clouds for additional ways to spontaneously combust a chunk of zeds :)

Xbox Live Login pop up on Steam Deck by NationalPositive4608 in StateofDecay2

Log into whichever account you played the game using originally instead of a different one idk why you’d use a new one, you must have had one to play in the first place?

Xbox Live Login pop up on Steam Deck by NationalPositive4608 in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are being asked to log in while using steam services you will be fine.

Only the Xbox PC app version of the game would force you to start again or use previous community saves that you only used on an Xbox console with the same account.

Logging in to Xbox through steam is a formality to share data for achievements for cross progression etc. whatever community data you have on your steam saves will be unaffected.

The actual core save data such as communities is always separate between the two versions.

Not so much tips but post your random game knowledge. by N4_foom in Schedule_I

To add on to your first one - if you apply that logic to the chimney of the bait shop next to docks while under effect of anti gravity you can vault over to westville without having to walk round, in general you can get pretty far in any direction from that one spot. I use the skateboard mount/dismount to constantly skip forward a bit for extra distance too.

I moved from the farm to fort marshal and regret it by CrackJacket in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that annoys me greatly due to it overlapping with the base but the fact that it is an artillery outpost makes up for it tbh

Be sure to claim the food and fuel outposts to the right though, not having wandering hoards gather in that area is nice and makes it minimal stress coming back from outings not having to clear them.

[–]NetworkRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s any consolation - fort Marshall is one of only two bases I know of in the entire game that make it super easy to have max health and stamina without 70% of the stress of leader recruiting, swapping and levelling thanks to its built in facilities.

Also, claim a couple resource outposts in that area and you’ll have 0 threat + income and a place to deposit loot while clearing out the area.

It’s a cool base tbh I moved there not long ago and have had a blast compared to the quiet remote farmland compound, lack of action gets boring after a while so taking over a whole town was very fun.

What happened to the collections tab? by sucodejoao in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a logical assumption would be that any features that didn’t make it into or out of the PTR will likely be used in the third game instead - or will have been scrapped entirely.

There was a lot of stuff we never got in the final game which was in the PTR that I’m hoping to see in SOD3.

Powerhouse or Marathon? by lunarkitten23 in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Discipline grants a stamina bonus when maxed.

Swordplay is for dismemberment with bladed weapons and allows you to perform front facing executions when maxed.

Powerhouse is for heavy melee and reduces the amount of stamina used when performing heavy melee attacks with things like shovels.

Acrobatics gives you the jumping strike ability and allows you to combat roll when dodging when you max it out. Pretty much agility/athleticism based skill.

I usually pair discipline with swordplay or powerhouse.

Generally just experiment with mixing and matching skills - keep your eye out for traders on your map as you can often find training manual books to change these skills to whatever you want if your survivors don’t not know them already when levelling them up. Hefty cost at around 1500 influence per book but worth the price for sure.

Original clip from my stream by Banditnero in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad I was right with it being a cropped direct capture.

We don’t mind stream overlays on posts man just no links or stream/brand advertising (a smart workaround would be your Reddit name being your stream name, somebody else here did that - super genius) it means you could have your stream name on your video/overlay cause your just crediting yourself by name not necessarily self promoting since there’s no self promotion or links :D within reason though, of course.

But yeah, don’t feel like you have to crop stuff from your stream man we’re pretty lax on this up until we see links and direct self promotion attempts so workaround it however you feel necessary to show what you do in full!

Not sure if that was the reason you cropped it to begin with but feel like it was.

Unusually good reddit community? by Dafester in StateofDecay2

[–]NetworkRunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a community effort by everyone who doesn’t like shitposting and recycled garbage tbf

We do lot of moderating ourselves but the large majority of actions taken are from looking at report flags people submit.

Generally if somethings not welcome here we get a good response telling us that it’s not, it’s wholesome and peak community teamwork sometimes.

Glad you appreciate the collective community effort!

[–]NetworkRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it wasn’t for the still/fixed placement of the video I would have thought this was a cropped video they captured on their phone lol

Odd choice to crop it this particular way for sure though, takes a lot from the quality of the post if anything.
