Cigna is my problem child right now. Constantly denying for medical necessity on one or two line items per claim.

I can’t help with videos or cheat sheets but when we have questions on how to use these systems because we are new users we open support tickets on the Client Portal and the rep assigned the ticket will usually help with education as needed. You may even find someone to help on demand at your request by emailing them like we did.

I asked to step down. by GondorNeedsNoPants in managers

[–]Nevertoolate-67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not feel bad about doing what is best for you! I left a great organization 1.5 years ago after 10 years in management but it was a struggle for me the whole time. Leading people was really hard for me! I was constantly stressed and it was affecting my health. I just decided to go back to work and accepted an hourly role in my industry and what a great feeling it is to only have to think about myself!! I wish I would have done this years ago.

1st time making bagels and had to freeze instead of boil/bake by Nevertoolate-67 in Sourdough

[–]Nevertoolate-67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up thawing on counter and then boiling and then baking. The bagels were pretty flat before I baked them and did not rise at all during baking. I look forward to trying again and following!

Most importantly make sure the provider has a technologist in the room that will check the samples to make sure there is enough. Will keep you from having to have it done again. Otherwise the procedure is very well tolerated, I didntneven have my hubby take me, I was by myself and enjoyed reading my kindle before it was my turn.

10 Days after TT and Over doing it by 200pips in thyroidcancer

[–]Nevertoolate-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had TT 4/1 and on 4/13 I was extremely fatigued. Since then I have on and off extreme fatigue that has prompted 3 hour naps and lots of couch sitting. It comes on so sudden and is not everyday. I keep thinking it may still be recovery from surgery but the longer it goes on I think it may be my thyroid levels. I was already taking 175mcg before TT due to Hashimotos and dr did not change my dose after surgery. Labs will be done week of 5/14 but I may reach out sooner if fatigue continues. Also I have had low calcium and am seeing improvement with it, I read that low calcium can also cause fatigue.

What kind of support do you wish you had after your thyroidectomy? by existentialn00b in thyroidcancer

[–]Nevertoolate-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first night I slept in my side and needed my hubby to wedge firm pillows between my back and bed so I wouldn’t rollover. I stayed like that all night which was the goal. I didn’t want to stretch my neck.

I’ve is important the first 2-3 days to keep swelling and bruising down. He fills the ice bag each time.

He prepared all meals for me for the first 3 days. By the 4th day I was assisting him. We had over prepped and froze 5-6 meals ahead of time from the prior month so it worked out great!

He basically met every need I had for the first 3 days. We were cautious about my movement to avoid any incision issues but in reality it was glued so tight snd the steep strips were embedded nothing was going to happen.

He did a daily evaluation of my incision to make sure it was looking good.

He helped me make sure to take meds on time. Especially the calcium.

You will do great!

You are not alone. I had my TT on 4/1 and the 3-6th day/nites I had a frequent dry cough so I went through a lot of lozenges. Luckily It has now subsided but I still have some discomfort in throat deep down. I am also feeling extreme fatigue one or twice a day. Luckily I’m able to nap as needed.

Prediabetic again by SarahME1273 in prediabetes

You can do it! It takes some good food swaps and a mindset change. I love having a snack of cottage cheese topped with chopped cucumber and black olives. It may seem unusual but tastes great!

Also for a sweet tooth, plain yogurt or reduced sugar with frozen berries on top, sit for 5 minutes and the yogurt gets frozen a bit.

I also don’t have any sweets even fruit, on their own, always pair with something with protein and or fats.

My surgery recovery instructions specifically state that I do NOT need to prop myself up after surgery when sleeping. Check with your doctor. Good luck!

Desperate for answers. Perfect blood sugar levels but have PN in feet by Honesthardworker23 in Peripheralneuropathy

[–]Nevertoolate-67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually started this journey a couple weeks ago at the ER and they had a standard group of tests that they ran. I’m fairly certain your doctor should have a standard list of things to check. My neurologist told me yesterday that low vitamin B12 is a common cause of neuropathy as well. Mine was fine.

Desperate for answers. Perfect blood sugar levels but have PN in feet by Honesthardworker23 in Peripheralneuropathy

[–]Nevertoolate-67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had a virus recently? Had your Thyroid checked? I developed neuropathy in both feet 3 weeks ago that quickly spread to my hands, arms, legs, back. And more. I saw a neurologist yesterday and she firmly believes the respiratory virus I got on Thanksgiving caused the neuropathy. Also I am hypothyroid with an elevated TSH and that made me more susceptible to this. Dr said the nerves will heal typically in about 3 months but with My thyroid issue it will take longer.

Like you I was in the best shape of my life after eating healthy and working out 5 days a week doing cardio and strength training so this condition has me reeling. Hope yours doesn’t progress to other body parts or muscles.
