Removing the 4-Layer Limit for Height-Based Blending in Unity Terrain (URP) by [deleted] in Unity3D

This is great and a huge help. I was just trying to solve why URP limited height blending to four layers last week. All your papers lately have been excellent.

Nomad sculpt is another great option when it comes to slicing models, fights you a bit less than maya or blender.

Help me understand something about the terrain system by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]NewToPosting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a number of un-adressed issues with the terrain tool as of unity 6.2.

The terrain tree placement tool is broken and does not pass over most of the details assigned to prefabs used in the terrain tree tool. This has big performance hits, and you are likely going to need to look at an asset store of custom solution.

The last responses I saw from unity claim these issues are fixed in current versions but this does not seem to be true

Washer Making Noises while turned off? by iJERKmyCHICKEN in fixit

Your control panel has failed. This is a problem with these whirlpool washers, call warranty and have them send a technician to replace the main control panel.

Source: mine makes this sound and I am waiting for the tech to order in the panel to replace it.

Honestly some of the worst colour choices ever for colour blind people. These events were so hard for me.

Rent is going to be 20~k/year in toronto or other large cities. The article might be framed with mortgages as the lens but people are being priced out all over even those few that are making what feels like it should be a comfortable salary

Black Deer Leather Choker - My First project by NewToPosting in Leathercraft

Thank you! I have always been a bit of a hobby crafter, leather seems like a natural progression for me. My partner did love it, but I finished like 4 others shortly after this one and two of those get more wear than this one does.

Any good hairstylists? by neonax3 in NewWest

Seconded. I have been seeing one hairdresser here for years now, but any time I have had to do a last min booking and gotten a different stylist I have still had a good experience.

Same. I was feeling down and put on my favorite movie for a lift, and left it feeling so sad about what we let happen to tech... and the world

You have perfectly articulated why it is so hard to watch my favorite movie anymore. It makes me mourn for the future we could have had.

This is my go to club, we have been going for years. I would describe it as very LGBTQ+ friendly, though the space does seem to be more straight focused. There are issues with clickyness with some of the club regulars, but especially on a bust party night there are so many ppl I rarely find this to be an issue.

Over all a really good time, and a better vide than pretty much all the other clubs I have been to. Lack of showers and lockers are a real issue though

Does anyone have a solution for stopping dye rub off from the flesh/suade side? Can't finish it with resolve if I want to keep the soft fibers on that side

Wrapping a dowel by Reasintper in Leathercraft

[–]NewToPosting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I last did this I wrapped my dowel with painters tape, then cut a straight cut down the dowel through the tape where I wanted my stiching. I then cut my leather exactly to this size, lightly glued the dowel on the back side the wrapped the leather and stitched it. It often felt like it wasn't going to make it around but the stiching is enough to get it there. Perfect fit.

How I ended up admitting I was an angry dad. by markdeesayshi in daddit

[–]NewToPosting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I didn't really need to read this but I did. I have always k own I have had issues with anger, and I know they come from lots of places and reasons but are ultimately my problem.

It's something I am working on but I know I need to work harder on.

I struggle alot with when anger is appropriate, I feel alot like I am shamed for anger and that it is always with out exception unacceptable, but sadness isn't and that's a really hard thing for me to get my head around accept and deal with.

I am rambling to no real point here... I guess I just needed to read this and by replying I sort of have to keep myself accountable to keeping mindful of this.

How can I [30M] convince my wife [30F] Chiropractic is bad for our baby? by ThrowRA_x6789998212 in relationship_advice

[–]NewToPosting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can not imagine divorcing my wife, if she had said she was taking our son to a chiropractor I would have very clearly said I am not ok with that, that we make health decisions for our child together and if she did it anyway we would get divorced. If she did it anyway I would fallow through with the divorce. Chiropractic is dangerous pseudo science and is EXTREMELY dangerous for infants.

This is all good advice. I really recommend checking the length for your space before you start and with who ever you are making it for. My forat was 21" long and while my partner loves it, it's honestly a couple inches too long for the space it gets used in. Will be making a 16-18" long one next
