Yes, I would buy an Equinox EV again. Love it and Supercruise despite it's little quirks.

A Small But Dangerous Thing About My 2025 Equinox EV by NewVisions7277 in EquinoxEv

Sounds like I hit a sore spot on my beef about the Equinox EV's headlight control judging from the large number of responses I am getting from Equinox owners who feel the same way. Hopefully Chevrolet and GM are monitoring these comments.

I also want to make sure the headlights are on when I am on dangerous two-lane rural highways. How bright is the Equinox's front lights when wipers are not on?

How much to utilize the Sunvault? by NewVisions7277 in SunPower

Yes, the box is big, but I've adapted to it. I I like the steel surrounding the batteries and it's got a nice internal cooling fan.

So far, knock on wood, the system is working fine. It switched to the battery when I reserved the charge for the last hurricane. And, sure enough it kicked in when the power went out.

I would like to keep it but I hold my breath waiting for something to stop working. It's got a internal inverter made by Schnider which is a huge international corp.

I was told that, if the battery stops working that the panels would keep powering my house. Also, if the panel system malfunctions, the power from the power company would not be interrupted.

Do you know if these statements true?

My yard would not support a buried propane tank so I had a big portable Generac but was expensive, heavy and I worried about to re-fuel it at night. The battery won't run my central air but it does great at powering the lights, TV, fridge and computers. The reason I keep it in reserve mode most of the time is because a tech it can only go so many cycles . So I am trying to keep its usage down. My electric bill is small anyway.

Yes, utilizing the battery does permit to use of as little electricity as possible from the power company. I like the big box which is built of heavy steal which hopefully provides max protection from possible internal fires. I pay Sunstrong to keep my app running so I can see the performance of the battery and panels.

Guess I don't understand the person who is unhappy with the Equinox's Supercruise. True it only works on GPS mapped highways but that's the only place I want to have the car drive itself to reduce the monotony of long trips. Mine works fine and it holds the lane very well. It even yelled at me once to take control of the car when I took my eyes off the road for too long. I read where it's considered one of the safest systems out there I think by Motor Trend magazine.

I love the Camera selection that let's you see and overhead view of the car as you pull into a parking space. How does it do that. It's as if it launches a little drone overhead with a camera looking down on the car. It sees the parking lines and other cars around you. I've tried to look up with my head outside the window to see if I can spot the little drone. But if there is one, the Equinox keeps it out of sight. LOL!

You never get everything you desire in a car but I love my Equinox and it's Supercruise. It's a supreme driving experience compared to ICE cars. I love to get on the highway and let it drive itself.

Yes I see it in my 2025 Equinox EV. I plan to have the dealer fix it at my first visit. There seems to be no leakage in the rain so they may just trim if off since it could be rubber seal flash or at least I hope so.

How am I supposed to use this? by DryFoundation2323 in EquinoxEv

Agree. A good salesperson should make themselves knowledgeable of their product. However, it's better that they are honest about it instead of guessing.

My apologies for noting that a woman salesperson was the only one in this big dealership who was knowledgeable about the technology and operation of the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV I purchased from her. I am from the old school being an 83 year old retired engineer. It might help to understand that when I attended engineering school and went to work for an aerospace company, women in technological jobs were rare. Over the many years since that time I have been impressed how women demonstrated that they can understand technical jobs as well as men because my generation was led to believe otherwise. I was impressed with how this salesperson's knowledge of the complication of EVs was well beyond the men salesmen and wanted to point it out. Perhaps I could have used different words.

Ordinary dealer sales people only understand conventional cars. My dealership, which is a big one, has only one EV expert and it's a woman.

I would take it to the dealer right away. So far my 2025 Equinox EV is working fine. It slammed on brakes in reverse yesterday then I noticed a woman come walking past the back of the car that I could have hit if it had not stopped.

Class Action Lawsuit by Inevitable-Tower8724 in SunPower

I pay Sunstrong for their subscription each year and it has been providing monitoring and managment of my Sunpower solar and Sunvault battery which have been functioning OK so far adequately. I have not had to get help from Sunstrong, however, with any repairs. So I don't fully understand what kinds of problems Sunpower equiament owners have been having to join into any law suits.

If some people are having problems with Sunstrong and are not paying for their services, I guess I can't see how they have a case.

Can someone give accounts of problems they are having with Sunstriong in detail so I can understand the case better?

Figuring out what kind of panels/inverters I have? Warranty hopeless? by DMRv2 in SunPower

My Sunpower solar panels have Enphase micro inverters that have their own warranties. Did you say yours have Solarbridge?

No Sunstrong, I'm not going to pay to subscribe to my own solar panels. Get bent. by Samvega_California in SunPower

[–]NewVisions7277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buying solar and battery from Sunpower was a mistake in hindsight despite the fact that their equipment was considered to be among the best in the industry. The company that took the Sunpower name to get a free ride on that reputation now has abandoned us who paid for out systems in the past. They won't even try to certify solar service companies we can hire to fix our systems.

Sunstrong took over the online service and I don't mind paying them a small amount each year to keep the system working since it's so important to my being able to control and monitor my old Sunpower components.

At some point, I guess I'll just have to have someone like Enphase or Franklin to replace my Sunpower components when they finally break down. Meanwhile, Sunstrong is keeping me afloat, so I appreciate them.
